Windows Errors? Fix Them Before They Spread

Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteIf a game’s motion blur seems to trigger nausea, dizziness, headache, or visual discomfort, turn that effect off or set it to zero if the game offers the option. If discomfort continues on a later attempt, try reducing camera shake or bob, adjusting the field of view, or enabling a fixed visual marker. These are settings to test, not guaranteed cures. Stop playing as soon as symptoms begin and take a break away from the game.
What to change first
Open the game’s display, graphics, camera, or accessibility settings and look for a distinct motion-blur control. Set it to Off or 0, then test the game only after you feel well again. Some games separate world blur from weapon blur: EA’s Battlefield 6 Accessibility Resources documents both controls on a 0–100 scale. That range and those labels apply to Battlefield 6, not to games generally.

Menu names and available controls vary by game, so there is no universal path or setting value. For example, EA’s accessibility information for Dragon Age: The Veilguard lists motion blur alongside camera shake, field of view, and a persistent-dot option.

If turning off blur is not enough
On a later attempt, change one additional setting at a time. That makes it easier to notice whether a particular change helps; it does not establish which setting is best for everyone.

- 【INTEGRATED SPEAKERS】Whether you're at work or in the midst of an intense gaming session, our built-in speakers provide rich and seamless audio, all while keeping your desk clutter-free.
- 【EASY ON THE EYES】 Protect your eyes and enhance your comfort with Blue-Light Shift technology. This feature reduces harmful blue light emissions from your screen, helping to alleviate eye strain during long hours of use and promoting healthier viewing habits.
- 【WIDEN YOUR PERSPECTIVE】Our sleek minimal bezel design ensures undivided attention. The nearly bezel-free display seamlessly connects in a dual monitor arrangement, delivering an unobstructed view that lets you focus on more at once, completely distraction-free.
- Camera shake: Reduce or disable it if the game allows. EA says Split Fiction’s camera-shake option removes involuntary camera movements from effects such as explosions, which could cause motion sickness for some users. That description applies to that game’s control.
- Camera bob: Look for a sprint-bobbing or head-bob toggle and try disabling it if available. Battlefield 6’s guide documents a sprint-bobbing toggle.
- Field of view (FOV): Try a different FOV setting if the game provides one, and assess your comfort rather than aiming for a universal number. Battlefield 6 documents an FOV range of 85–120; those values describe that game only.
- Fixed visual anchor: If available, try a persistent dot or projected crosshair. EA describes a projected crosshair in Battlefield 2042 as an option intended to help reduce or prevent motion sickness for some players. A stable marker may help, but relief is not assured.
Other camera or visual effects, such as sensitivity or chromatic aberration, may also have controls in some games. Adjust only settings that appear in your own game; the cited accessibility guides do not rank these options or prove which will help a particular player.
Why these changes might help—and what is not known
NHS guidance explains that motion sickness can involve a mismatch between what the eyes see and what the inner ear senses. Its advice to reduce motion and look at a fixed point is general motion-sickness guidance, not a test of motion-blur settings in games. The NHS also advises avoiding electronic devices during motion sickness, which supports taking a break away from the moving image rather than trying to play through symptoms. See NHS: Motion sickness.

Stop playing when symptoms start
Pause or quit if nausea, dizziness, headache, or other discomfort begins. Cleveland Clinic advises stepping away from video or VR games when virtual motion-sickness symptoms occur; see Motion Sickness: What It Is, Causes, Symptoms & Treatment. Nintendo’s health and safety guidance likewise advises stopping and consulting a doctor if discomfort continues.
