To reduce buffering in a YouTube loop, first test whether the problem follows the network, the playback device, or YouTube itself. Try another connection, lower the video quality, and restart or update the app or device. The official YouTube guidance covers playback generally; it does not identify the cloud services in your question or show that switching providers causes buffering.
First identify where buffering occurs
Note whether you are watching on a phone, computer, TV, or streaming device, and whether buffering happens only in YouTube or also in other services. If possible, replay the same video on another device. These comparisons help isolate the cause; they do not establish that a particular cloud service or provider switch is responsible.

Test the internet connection
- Switch connections and replay the video. On a phone, try Wi-Fi and mobile data where available. YouTube recommends changing the connection as a troubleshooting step; mobile-data charges may apply.
- Check competing network use. Temporarily pause heavy use on other connected devices. YouTube notes that several devices sharing a network can reduce the speed available to each one.
- If watching on a TV, check the connection where the TV is. Run a speed test near the device, improve its distance from the router if practical, and consider whether walls or other interference may be weakening Wi-Fi. YouTube recommends at least 7 Mbps for HD streaming on TV. That is a recommendation, not a guarantee that buffering will stop.
Lower playback quality and compare
Manually select a lower playback quality and see whether the loop becomes stable. YouTube adjusts playback quality according to viewing conditions such as internet speed, screen size, the original upload quality, and browser. A lower setting can reduce the amount of data needed at once, but it also makes the picture less detailed.
YouTube’s system-requirements guidance lists approximate sustained speeds of 5 Mbps for 1080p HD and 20 Mbps for 4K UHD. These are separate recommendations in that page’s context—not tested minimums or guarantees, and not interchangeable with the TV-specific 7 Mbps HD recommendation.
#1 Best Overall
- DUAL-BAND WIFI 6 ROUTER: Wi-Fi 6(802.11ax) technology achieves faster speeds, greater capacity and reduced network congestion compared to the previous gen. All WiFi routers require a separate modem. Dual-Band WiFi routers do not support the 6 GHz band.
- AX1800: Enjoy smoother and more stable streaming, gaming, downloading with 1.8 Gbps total bandwidth (up to 1200 Mbps on 5 GHz and up to 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz). Performance varies by conditions, distance to devices, and obstacles such as walls.
- CONNECT MORE DEVICES: Wi-Fi 6 technology communicates more data to more devices simultaneously using revolutionary OFDMA technology
- EXTENSIVE COVERAGE: Achieve the strong, reliable WiFi coverage with Archer AX1800 as it focuses signal strength to your devices far away using Beamforming technology, 4 high-gain antennas and an advanced front-end module (FEM) chipset
- OUR CYBERSECURITY COMMITMENT: TP-Link is a signatory of the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency’s (CISA) Secure-by-Design pledge. This device is designed, built, and maintained, with advanced security as a core requirement.
Restart and update the playback device
- Close and reopen YouTube, or refresh the browser page.
- Check for available updates to the YouTube app, browser, and device software, then install them if appropriate.
- Restart the device and try the video again.
- On the YouTube mobile app, clear the app cache if buffering continues. Menu names vary by phone and operating-system version, so use the device’s app-storage settings if YouTube’s own troubleshooting instructions do not match your interface.
Try Ethernet if your equipment supports it
For a compatible TV or streaming device, test a wired Ethernet connection if a cable can reach it safely. YouTube says hardwiring may help. Compare playback on the same device and video with Wi-Fi and Ethernet; treat this as a diagnostic test, not a guaranteed fix. A Cat 6 Ethernet cable is one option if you need a cable, but do not buy one before checking that your device has an Ethernet port and that a wired route is practical.
If buffering continues
- If the same video improves on another connection, investigate the original connection’s speed, Wi-Fi range, interference, or competing use.
- If it improves at lower quality, the selected resolution may be more than the current connection can sustain consistently.
- If YouTube buffers on one device but not another, focus on that device, app, browser, or its connection.
- If the problem persists across devices and services, consult the device manufacturer’s support site. The available YouTube guidance does not establish service-specific performance differences or a causal link between switching cloud services and buffering.
Or let it run in the cloud
If by “YouTube loop” you mean keeping uploaded videos live on a YouTube channel, that is different from buffering while watching a video. StreamNeo runs an uploaded video or playlist from the cloud, so your computer and home internet connection do not have to stay on. You upload the video, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. It supports the uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly billing is $9.99 per month. Visit StreamNeo or start the free day.
