To make a Hostinger AI Builder project in agentic mode public, open it from Dashboard → Websites, choose Edit website, and click Publish in the top-right corner of the editor. The first publish makes the site visible to visitors. Every later edit goes live the same way, by publishing again. You can launch on a temporary domain and connect your own domain later, or connect the domain first if you already have one.
Publish the site for the first time
These steps follow Hostinger’s own publishing guide for agentic mode. Menu labels can shift as the interface changes, so if a control is named slightly differently in your account, look for the same action in the editor’s top bar.

- In the Hostinger dashboard, go to Websites, find your project, and click Edit website. If you have just created the project and a waiting page appears, select Go to the project.
- In the editor, click Publish in the top-right corner. If the button is greyed out, the site is still being built. Wait for creation to finish, then try again.
- When the first publish completes, use Quick look on your phone to display a QR code. Scanning it opens the live site on a phone or tablet, which is a fast way to check mobile layout.
- Open the live address in a private or incognito window so your logged-in session does not mask problems. The publishing menu offers Copy URL and Go to Analytics once the site is live.
Publish later edits
An existing live project is updated from the same control. Make your changes in the editor, click Publish again, and if a dropdown appears, choose Publish changes. Wait for the publishing process to finish before you judge the result, because the live version does not change until that process completes. Then reload the live address in a private window to confirm the edit is visible.

Choose a domain: temporary or custom
A custom domain is not required for the first launch. If you connected a domain during setup, the project publishes to that domain. If you did not, the project can publish on a temporary domain, and you can attach your own domain afterwards.
#1 Best Overall
| Situation | What to do | Extra work |
|---|---|---|
| You want to see the site live quickly and have no domain yet | Publish on the temporary domain | None for the first launch |
| You already own a domain and want it used from day one | Connect the domain during setup, then publish | Point the domain at Hostinger (see below) |
| You launched on a temporary domain and want your own address later | Connect the custom domain, then publish again | Point the domain at Hostinger and wait for DNS to update |
Connect a custom domain after publishing
Connecting a domain does not publish the project by itself. Hostinger describes two ways to point a domain at the project: changing nameservers, or adding CNAME records. Use whichever method your domain registrar supports and that the connection screen in your dashboard asks for.
- Open the project’s domain settings from the Hostinger dashboard and start a new domain connection.
- Enter the domain or subdomain you want to use.
- Either update the nameservers at your registrar, or add the CNAME records shown in the connection screen.
- Return to the editor and click Publish. The domain goes live only after this step.
Hostinger states that DNS changes can take up to 24 hours to propagate worldwide. Some networks update sooner, so the 24 hours is a ceiling for Hostinger’s guidance rather than a guaranteed wait.
Troubleshoot a site that will not load
Most launch problems come down to one of the causes below. Work through them in order.
- The project is still an unpublished draft. Early access attempts before the first publish can return a 404 page or an SSL protocol error. Publish first, then retry.
- The domain or subdomain is not connected or not pointed correctly. Recheck the nameserver or CNAME setup at your registrar against the values shown in the dashboard.
- DNS has not finished updating. Allow up to 24 hours after a change, as noted above.
- Your browser is serving an old copy. Clear the browser cache, or test in an incognito window, on another device, or over a different connection.
These checks are the troubleshooting steps in Hostinger’s publishing guide. They have not been independently tested here.
Check the live site after launch
Hostinger recommends testing the published site across different browsers and devices, and checking loading speed with a benchmark tool such as GTMetrix. Those are general best practices from the vendor, not measured results for any particular site. Run the checks on your own pages, since performance depends on your content, images and hosting plan.
Official references for this workflow are Hostinger’s help article “Hostinger AI Builder: How to publish your website in agentic mode” and its guidance on connecting a custom domain. Confirm the current labels there if your dashboard looks different from the steps above.

Publish with the Publish button in the editor, use the same button for every update, and connect a custom domain before or after launch, then publish again so the change takes effect.
