1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteThe most important protection step for the vivo X Fold6’s inner screen is to leave its factory-applied film in place. vivo says that film is integral to the main display and should not be removed or replaced with another film; replacement should be handled by an official vivo customer service center. For the hinge, the available model-specific material does not establish a special care routine or confirm that any case protects it.
Keep the factory inner-screen film installed
vivo’s India product information says the main display comes with a specially designed protective film pre-installed, describes it as an integral part of the display, and warns that removing it or replacing it with another film may damage the screen. If the film needs replacement, vivo directs owners to an official customer service center: vivo X Fold6 product parameters.

The India product-parameter page lists a phone case in the box, making an exterior case a relevant protection option. That listing does not say that the included case covers or protects the hinge, and it does not establish compatibility for third-party cases. Regional in-box contents can also vary.

Before buying or fitting another case, check the product listing for explicit vivo X Fold6 compatibility. Inspect whether it obstructs folding, buttons, cameras, or ports, and look for evidence from the case maker before relying on any hinge-protection claim. A case that fits the phone is not automatically a hinge guard.
Do not treat water and dust ratings as hinge-proofing
vivo lists IP5X and IPX8/IPX9 testing for the X Fold6, but also cautions that resistance can decline with daily use, the phone is not a professional waterproof phone, and liquid-ingress damage is not covered by warranty. Those ratings are not a promise that the hinge is immune to dust, liquid, or damage. See vivo X Fold6 product information for the stated qualifications.

Avoid unverified inner-screen protectors and DIY repairs
vivo Pakistan’s general screen guidance warns about risks associated with UV-glue protectors, including glue entering ports and affecting components. This is general, market-specific guidance—not an X Fold6 application procedure—so it should not be taken as a way to install a protector on this phone: vivo Pakistan screen guidance.

vivo India’s tips page lists an “X Foldable Screen Handling Guide,” but the accessible page does not expose the guide’s actual instructions.
