Leave the Motorola-installed protector on the Razr+’s inner display. Motorola warns against removing it or adding a third-party protector there; if it bubbles, warps, or separates, contact an authorized Motorola service center. You can reduce other risks by keeping grit, liquids, sharp objects, and trapped items away from the phone.
Keep the factory-installed inner-screen protector in place
The Razr+’s flexible inner display already has a protector customized for the foldable design. Motorola’s Razr+ 2024 hardware guide says, “Don’t use third-party screen protectors.” It warns that third-party films may reduce touch sensitivity, make the main screen unresponsive, damage the screen, or cause touch problems.

- Do not peel off or replace the pre-installed film yourself.
- Do not layer another protector over the inner display.

What to do if the protector lifts or changes
If the inner protector develops air bubbles, warps, or separates, contact an authorized Motorola service center. Motorola says replacement should be handled by Motorola-approved service personnel, not as a DIY repair. Avoid pressing, smoothing, or cutting at the film in an attempt to fix it.
Prevent pressure, debris, and objects from damaging the phone
- Keep hard or sharp objects from puncturing or pressing excessively on the main screen, especially around its middle.
- Before folding the phone, check that nothing is caught between the screens or in the hinge area. Motorola specifically cautions against closing the phone with cards, coins, keys, or other objects inside.
- Keep liquids and small debris, including grit, away from the phone.
Choose a case for the exact Razr+ generation
A case designed to fit your specific Razr+ generation is an optional way to protect the phone’s exterior. Check compatibility before buying, since a case for another generation may not fit correctly. A case does not replace the inner-screen protector or the care needed when folding the phone.
