Choose a pumpkin model for its intended use
Start with a model that matches what you want to make: a simple display decoration, a hollow pumpkin for compatible LED lighting, or a pumpkin that can also hold small items. On MakerWorld, check the model page for a profile matching your exact printer and read the creator’s notes for material, supports, brim and assembly.

These are examples, not interchangeable print recipes. A hollow, light-compatible design may need internal supports that a lidded container does not. Prefer the creator’s profile for your printer when one is available, and review any required assembly or lighting hardware before starting.
Open the model in Bambu Studio
- For a MakerWorld profile: choose a profile that matches your printer on the model page, then open it in Bambu Studio. Bambu Lab’s H2D 3D Printing User Manual describes selecting a matching profile and opening it in the slicer. Availability of a matching profile varies by model and printer.
- For a downloaded model file: import it into Bambu Studio if it is in a supported format. The H2D manual lists .3mf, .stl, .stp, .step, .amf and .obj.
- Check the project setup: confirm the selected printer and build plate, identify the nozzle and loaded filament, and choose an appropriate process preset. The Bambu Lab P2S manual describes selecting the printer, plate and process preset before printing.
MakerWorld’s one-step workflow re-slices a model for the printer and filament selected, using official Bambu Studio presets or the user’s own settings, as Bambu Lab explains in its September 22, 2023 guide. Still check the resulting project before sending it: confirm that the selected printer and filament are right for your setup.

Choose filament and settings for the design
PLA is a documented option for the cited pumpkin models. The Bambu Lab jack-o’-lantern listing recommends Bambu PLA Basic Orange, while the removable-lid pumpkin lists a PLA profile. If you already have another brand of PLA, select the appropriate filament profile for that material rather than assuming the Bambu-branded recommendation is required.
Use the model’s printer-matched profile as your starting point where available. For context, Bambu Lab’s P2S manual describes 0.2 mm layer height as a general balance for many models when using a 0.4 mm nozzle. That is a broad starting point—not a pumpkin-specific guarantee—and the chosen printer, nozzle, profile and geometry matter.

- Supports: check whether the selected profile includes them and where they appear in the preview. The tall hollow pumpkin’s listing includes supports in its profiles.
- Brim: inspect the profile for a brim rather than adding or removing one by habit. The same tall pumpkin listing includes an internal brim.
- Walls and infill: retain the selected model profile’s values unless you have a specific reason and know how the change affects the design. The removable-lid model’s listed two-wall, 15% infill profile is specific to that example.
- Color: orange PLA is a straightforward choice for a traditional pumpkin appearance, but the color is a design preference; confirm that the loaded material and slicer selection agree.
Preview the slice before printing
After slicing, review the toolpath preview and verify that the pumpkin fits the build area and that the intended features are present. Pay particular attention to the underside and interior of hollow designs: make sure supports or a brim included by the model’s profile have not been lost through a profile change. If the preview looks unexpected, return to the model page and compare the selected profile and instructions before printing.

- When the printer, plate, material and preview are correct, send the prepared job to your Bambu Lab printer using the available Bambu Studio workflow.
- Let the plate cool as appropriate for the plate and filament guidance, then remove the print carefully.
- Remove supports if the model calls for them, and fit a lid or other components only as the creator’s instructions specify.
Finishing varies with the model and material, so avoid assuming that every pumpkin needs the same support removal or assembly steps.

Use lighting only when the model specifies compatible hardware
Lighting is optional. Some listings name a compatible Bambu Lab LED light or kit, but compatibility is model-specific; confirm the exact requirement on the chosen model page before buying or fitting hardware. The cited listings support LED options, not putting a flame or hot incandescent light inside a plastic print.
