Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →To prevent unwanted gaps between tracks, join them on one continuous audio/video timeline, remove unintended silence or clicks at each boundary, and check every transition in the exported file before uploading. For a live stream, test the full audio and video chain and monitor YouTube’s stream health. First identify whether the pause is built into the recording, happening in the live pipeline, or occurring between separate playlist videos: each needs a different fix.
Identify where the gap occurs
| What you hear | Likely place to investigate | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| The pause happens at the same point between tracks in an uploaded program. | The edit or rendered source: leading or trailing silence, an unintended fade, a misplaced edit, or a click at the join. | Inspect the timeline and exported file, then adjust and audition the transition. |
| The interruption occurs unpredictably during a live broadcast. | The playback source or queue, encoder output, computer load, disk activity, upload connection, or YouTube stream health. | Rehearse the complete live chain and check encoder output and YouTube’s health messages when the interruption occurs. |
| The pause is between distinct videos playing from a playlist. | The transition between separate videos, rather than an edit point in one continuous program. | If you control the program, combine the tracks into a single video. Do not assume playlist playback will crossfade them. |
A waveform can help locate silence, but it cannot tell you whether quiet ambience is intentional. Listen as well as inspect. Decide whether the transition should be gapless, gently crossfaded, or an intentional pause: gapless playback joins material without overlap, while a crossfade overlaps the end of one track with the beginning of the next.

Make a prerecorded meditation video continuous
- Place the tracks on one timeline. Use an audio/video editor and set the intended transition at every join. A single continuous upload gives you control over those edit points.
- Inspect both sides of each boundary. Listen closely to the end of one track and the start of the next. Check the waveform for dead air, but preserve low-level room tone or ambience if it belongs in the composition.
- Remove only unintended gaps and clicks. Trim dead air where seamless continuity is intended. A short crossfade may suit some material, but avoid overlapping sounds that clash or cutting a sustained tone abruptly. Keep a quiet pause if that is part of the meditation’s design.
- Render one continuous master and audition the export. Check every join in the rendered file, not just in the editor’s timeline. Listen on a normal playback device before uploading.
- Upload using suitable delivery settings. YouTube’s upload recommendations include MP4, AAC-LC/Opus/Eclipsa Audio and a 48 kHz sample rate; the cited upload settings list stereo audio at 384 kbps. These are encoding recommendations, not tools for removing silence that is already in the source. See YouTube’s recommended upload encoding settings.
Prevent interruptions in a live broadcast
Test the complete chain before going live
Test the same audio, movement and playback setup you intend to use during the broadcast. YouTube’s live encoder guidance says: “Make sure to test before you start your live stream. Tests should include audio and movement in the video similar to what you’ll be doing in the stream.” This can expose problems in the source, playback queue, encoder or connection before viewers encounter them. During the broadcast, monitor YouTube’s stream health and read its messages; transmission checks will not remove silence embedded in a track.

YouTube’s live guidance for RTMP/RTMPS lists H.264, H.265 and AV1 video codecs; AAC or MP3 audio; and constant bitrate (CBR) encoding. It recommends a 2-second keyframe frequency and says not to exceed 4 seconds. Its recommendations list 44.1 kHz for stereo audio, 48 kHz for 5.1 surround sound, and 128 kbps for stereo audio. These live-ingestion values differ from the separate upload recommendations above. Check the current YouTube live encoder settings, bitrates and resolutions before configuring an encoder.
#1 Best Overall
- Hybrid Active Noise Cancelling: 2 internal and 2 external mics work in tandem to detect external noise and effectively reduce up to 90% of it, no matter in trains or offices.
- Immerse Yourself in Detailed Audio: The noise cancelling headphones have oversized 40mm dynamic drivers that produce detailed sound and thumping beats with BassUp technology for your every travel, commuting and gaming. Compatible with Hi-Res certified audio via the AUX cable for more detail.
- 40-Hour Long Battery Life and Fast Charging: With 40 hours of battery life with ANC on and 60 hours in normal mode, you can commute in peace with your Bluetooth headphones without thinking about recharging. Fast charge for 5 mins to get an extra 4 hours of music listening for daily users.
- Dual-Connections: Connect to two devices simultaneously with Bluetooth 5.0 and instantly switch between them. Whether you're working on your laptop, or need to take a phone call, audio from your Bluetooth headphones will automatically play from the device you need to hear from.
- App for EQ Customization: Download the soundcore app to tailor your sound using the customizable EQ, with 22 presets, or adjust it yourself. You can also switch between 3 modes: ANC, Normal, and Transparency, and relax with white noise.
YouTube recommends testing upload bitrate and choosing stream quality appropriate to your connection. Keep upload capacity stable, with headroom, and monitor stream health. YouTube transcodes the incoming live stream for viewers, but that does not correct a silent interval in the program source.
Know what HLS settings do—and do not do
For HLS ingestion, YouTube specifies segments between 1 and 4 seconds and a rolling playlist with no more than 5 outstanding segments. HLS sends video in segments and has higher latency than RTMP, which sends a continuous stream. Those are delivery and latency characteristics, not a crossfade control. Google’s HLS delivery guide likewise describes media segments of 1–4 seconds that can be concatenated into a continuous, decodable stream.

- 40 Hours. 5-Minute Top-Up: With ANC on, a single charge keeps you listening through days of commutes and long-haul flights. Running low? Just 5 minutes plugged in gives you 4 more hours — so you're never stuck waiting.
- Two Devices, Zero Hassle: Stay connected to your laptop and phone at the same time. Audio switches automatically to whichever device needs you — so a call never interrupts your flow, and getting back to your playlist is just as easy. Designed for commuters and remote workers who move smoothly between work and personal listening throughout the day.
- Your Sound, Your Rules: The soundcore app puts everything at your fingertips — dials your ideal EQ with presets or build your own, flip between ANC, Normal, and Transparency modes on the fly, or wind down with built-in white noise. One app, total control.
If the gap is between playlist videos
A transition between separate YouTube videos is different from a gap inside one edited video or live source. The cited YouTube guidance does not establish an official setting that crossfades arbitrary playlist videos. A third-party player, orbutton, advertises crossfade for YouTube playlists; that is a viewer-side playlist option, not a repair for silence already present in an uploaded video. If you need reliable control over a meditation program’s transitions, make and check one continuous video.
Troubleshoot by symptom
- The gap repeats at exactly the same join: inspect the edit, track tails and beginnings, fades, and exported master. Correct the source rather than changing upload encoding.
- You hear a click rather than silence: inspect the cut and listen to the rendered join. Adjust the edit so it does not abruptly interrupt a sustained sound.
- The gap appears at different times during a live stream: check the source or playback queue, encoder output, local CPU or disk load, upload stability, and YouTube stream-health messages. Rehearse with the intended audio and motion.
- The tracks are separate playlist videos: treat this as a video-transition issue. Playlist playback is not a substitute for editing the tracks into one continuous program.
- The recording sounds right locally but not during the live stream: test the complete encoder path before the broadcast and compare its output with the source. Check live-ingestion settings separately from upload encoding recommendations.
Or let it run in the cloud
If the meditation program is prerecorded and you want it to stay live on YouTube without leaving a computer running, StreamNeo runs uploaded videos from the cloud. Upload the finished video or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. It plays uploaded videos; it does not broadcast a camera.
