How to Prepare Telugu Devotional Videos for a 24/7 YouTube Live Loop

Set up a single Telugu devotional video or playlist to repeat on YouTube Live, then test the encoder and plan for continuous operation and recording limits.

To loop Telugu devotional videos on YouTube Live, first make sure you have permission to stream every song, performance, image, and recording. Then test your files, set up either a looping OBS Media Source for one video or an OBS VLC Video playlist for several, connect OBS to a YouTube stream key, and test the broadcast before launching. A loop can repeat media, but it cannot keep a local computer, power supply, or internet connection running by itself.

Prepare and check your devotional videos

Keep the finished files in a stable folder on the computer you will use for streaming. Use clear filenames and put playlist files in the order you want viewers to hear them. Before configuring OBS, play each file from beginning to end—or at least check its opening, ending, picture, and audio—so a damaged file or unexpected silence does not become part of a long broadcast.

There is no Telugu-specific export preset established here. Choose a format OBS can play and check that the picture fits your intended scene and the sound is clear. Do not assume a devotional purpose gives you permission to use a recording: confirm rights for all audio and visual material for live transmission and any copy you retain or make available on demand. Permission requirements depend on the material and jurisdiction; this is not a legal determination.

Choose how OBS should repeat the video

One video: Media Source with Loop

  1. In OBS, select or create the scene for the broadcast.
  2. In the Sources panel, select + and add a Media Source.
  3. Choose the local video file and enable Loop in the source properties.
  4. Confirm the source fills the canvas as intended. Check the audio meters while the video plays.

OBS documents the Media Source loop option in its Media Sources guide. This is the straightforward choice for repeating one file; it does not create a multi-file playlist.

Several videos: VLC Video with Loop Playlist

  1. Install VLC on the streaming computer. OBS’s VLC Video source depends on VLC being installed and available to OBS; the source is documented for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
  2. In the OBS scene’s Sources panel, select + and add a VLC Video source.
  3. Use the source properties to add the video files in the order you want them played.
  4. Enable Loop Playlist, then confirm that the playlist plays through and starts again as expected.

OBS describes playlist and loop controls in its Media Sources guide. Check the scene after adding the source: resize or fit the video to the canvas if necessary, and watch the audio meters during playback.

Connect OBS to YouTube Live

  1. Enable live streaming in advance. YouTube says first-time live-stream enablement may take up to 24 hours. Do not leave this step until the day you plan to start.
  2. Create or select a stream in YouTube Studio. Open the Live Control Room and set up or choose the stream you intend to use. YouTube provides the stream URL and stream key in its encoder setup and stream settings instructions.
  3. Enter the connection details in OBS. In OBS, open Settings > Stream, select YouTube as the service if offered, and enter the stream key as required by the connection method. If using a custom server connection, use the stream URL and key supplied by YouTube. Do not share the key: YouTube describes it as similar to a password and address.
  4. Start the encoder and check the preview. Start streaming from OBS and confirm the incoming preview in YouTube’s Live Control Room before you make the broadcast public or announce it.

For the current connection workflow and first-time enablement guidance, see YouTube’s encoder setup instructions and stream settings help. If you think a key has been exposed, use YouTube’s reset flow and update the encoder with the new key.

Test the complete scene before going live

OBS recommends a short test before the first real stream. Run the scene for a few minutes and verify that the video is moving, the audio is present without clipping or silence, the framing is right, and YouTube receives the stream preview. Check the transition at the end of a file and the restart of a single-file loop or playlist; the start and end of a loop are where an accidental gap, abrupt cut, or unexpected title card can be easiest to catch.

The OBS Quick Start Guide covers scene, audio, and output setup and recommends testing before streaming. There is no source-specific bitrate or resolution recommendation established for Telugu devotional files here, so avoid changing export settings solely on the assumption that one preset is required.

What it takes to keep a stream running around the clock

OBS repeating a file is only one part of a continuous broadcast. With a local encoder, the streaming computer must remain on, the media files must remain accessible, and power and internet must stay available. Someone also needs a plan to notice and recover from a connection interruption or source failure. The official setup pages describe how to connect an encoder; they do not promise uninterrupted 24/7 availability.

  • OBS on a local computer: Choose this when you can keep the computer, power, files, and network available and can respond to interruptions. You retain direct control, but you are responsible for those dependencies and recovery.
  • Cloud operation: A hosted setup can remove dependence on keeping an in-room computer running. Service terms, reliability, fees, storage, and recovery vary by provider; do not assume those details without checking the specific service.

Plan the archive separately from the live loop

YouTube’s encoder help says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. It does not establish that one continuous broadcast lasting longer than that will produce a complete archive. If a complete recording matters, plan a local recording or use appropriately shorter broadcasts, and confirm YouTube’s current workflow before launch. See YouTube’s encoder setup and archive guidance.
