Where to practice
Look for a training dummy in a town or at a Legion base. Update notes dated July 22, 2026, reproduced by the unofficial fan project Legendary Patch Notes, say some dummies in each town and Legion base were replaced with dummies that use attack skills. Those dummies use skills only while a player is near them. The notes do not identify each location or explain a route to find one, so check the area rather than assuming every dummy behaves the same way. Read the July 22, 2026 update notes.

How to practice a combo
- Choose one short sequence. Start with an opener, a resource-building skill and a finisher, rather than putting every skill in your class into one chain.
- Run it on the dummy. Enter the skills in their intended order if you are testing a macro, or activate them manually if you are practicing the inputs themselves.
- Watch what happens. Notice missed activations, skills that do not fire, and places where the order feels wrong. Repeat the same sequence so you can identify the effect of any change.
- Change one thing at a time. Adjust the order or timing, then repeat the sequence. This is a practical drill, not a tested guarantee of higher damage or better results in a match.
A dummy can help you rehearse inputs and check whether a chain flows. The cited sources do not establish that dummies reproduce player movement, defenses, crowd-control resistance or live PvP conditions. Treat dummy practice as basic sequence checking; confirm how a combo works in real encounters.
Testing a macro
A community guide updated October 2, 2026 describes AION 2’s built-in macro as a list of skills attempted from top to bottom while you hold the assigned key. The macro cycles through the list again, and skips a skill that is on cooldown. The guide recommends testing a chain on a dummy and increasing the delay if skills are dropped. Its delay advice varies, so it does not establish one setting that works best for every skill chain or player. Keep actions that need a deliberate timing or situation-based decision out of an automatic loop. The guide specifically recommends keeping long-cooldown burst skills, charged and reactive skills, toggles and other decision-sensitive actions manual.
What to watch for with Brawler
NCSoft’s July 6, 2026 announcement describes Brawler as a front-line class that uses Gauntlets and combo-based charges. Basic attacks and active skills build Rage; reaching a certain Rage gauge triggers Rampage. While practicing, watch the Rage gauge and notice how your chosen sequence relates to Rampage. The announcement does not specify an exact threshold or an optimal skill order, so use your current in-game skills and build rather than treating any particular sequence as prescribed. What the available information does not establish
- Whether leaving a dummy resets cooldowns.
- Whether there is a dummy reset control, combo score, damage-measurement feature or dedicated practice arena.
- Whether every dummy uses attack skills, or whether those skills simulate a player.
- A single best rotation or macro delay that applies across classes, builds and game versions.
