Use Arcade Training Mode to practice sections of a stage and work on the movement that gets you through a boss pattern. CAVE added the mode to Arcade Mode in version 1.1.0 on October 1, 2026. The official description confirms stage selection, ship-setting adjustments, and section practice; it does not confirm a dedicated boss-select screen or a way to reset individual attacks.
Start in Arcade Training Mode
In DoDonPachi Resurrection Reignite, open Arcade Mode and look for Training Mode. CAVE’s Steam Community update says version 1.1.0 added it on October 1, 2026. The producer’s roadmap describes choosing a stage—including AREA6—adjusting ship settings, and practicing particular sections at your own pace. Read the Steam Community update and roadmap.

The roadmap does not document the exact menu labels or button-by-button navigation, so use the options shown in your current game build rather than relying on assumed menu steps. It also does not establish whether you can select a boss directly or restart a single attack. If either control matters to your routine, check the current Training Mode menus instead of assuming it is available.

Build a repeatable practice loop
Section practice is useful even if the game does not offer a boss-specific selection: choose the stage section that contains the pattern you want to learn, then focus on one movement decision at a time. This is a practice method, not a claim that the game includes attack-level training controls.

- Choose a target section. Pick the stage and section that bring you to the boss pattern you want to study.
- Watch one attempt before changing your approach. Note when the bullets begin, which areas become crowded, and where a usable path appears. Avoid trying to solve every part of the pattern at once.
- Identify a safe movement space. Look for room to move without steering into the densest part of the pattern. Prefer deliberate, small adjustments over abrupt movement across the screen.
- Repeat with one change. On the next run, alter one choice—such as when you move or which side you use—while keeping the rest of your approach as consistent as you can.
- Keep what works. Once a route is reliable, practice it again, then move on to another difficult section.
Because the documented feature is section practice rather than a confirmed attack reset, you may need to replay part of a stage to reach the same pattern. Treat each run as a chance to observe the approach and refine one decision, not just as an attempt to survive.
Adjust ship settings without changing too much at once
CAVE’s roadmap says ship settings can be adjusted in Training Mode, but the official description does not list the individual settings or explain their effects. Use the controls available in your build and make one adjustment at a time. That makes it easier to tell whether a change helped you read and move through the pattern, rather than changing several variables and losing track of what mattered.
If you want practice to carry over to ordinary Arcade Mode, finish by returning to the settings and ship setup you normally use. A route that works only under a different setup may still teach you something, but it may not transfer cleanly to your usual run.

Choose a controller that suits your setup
The Steam listing recommends an XInput-compatible controller for PC. It does not require a named brand or model. Choose a compatible pad or stick that feels comfortable and lets you make controlled directional inputs; your preferred layout matters more than buying a particular device. See the game’s Steam listing.
What is confirmed—and what is not
- Confirmed: Training Mode was added to Arcade Mode in version 1.1.0, dated October 1, 2026, according to the Steam Community update.
- Described by CAVE’s producer: You can choose a stage, adjust ship settings, and practice specific sections, including in AREA6. These options were outlined in the producer roadmap.
- Not established by those descriptions: direct boss selection, individual attack resets, or controls for changing boss health. Do not plan around those features unless you see them in the current build.
The Steam listing identifies the game as a Windows release from CAVE Interactive, with a release date of August 26, 2026. Its broader features include assist options, a new Stage 6, and Shooting Royale; for boss-pattern practice, the relevant documented tool is Arcade Training Mode. Check the Steam listing for the game’s platform and feature details.
