You can play Titanfall 2’s campaign in VR with CircuitLord’s community mod: install the game, run the installer to locate it and set up the separate TF2VR profile, start a VR runtime, then select Launch in VR in the installer. Launching Titanfall 2 normally remains the unmodded game.
What you need to know before installing
CircuitLord’s project converts Titanfall 2’s campaign for VR; it is not an official EA or Respawn release. The project describes features including stereo rendering, full-body inverse kinematics, manual reloads, and Titan controls. Those are the author’s descriptions, not a guarantee that every interaction will work flawlessly on every setup.

The project README does not provide a headset-and-controller compatibility matrix or minimum PC specifications. It directs users to start SteamVR or another chosen VR runtime. A secondary PCVR Central setup guide discusses an active OpenXR runtime and compatible headset and controllers, but that is not an official compatibility list. Check the current project guidance for your specific headset and runtime before proceeding.

Install the VR profile
- Install Titanfall 2. The installer documentation says it can find the game’s Steam, EA, or Xbox installation. The Steam store page is one source for the game; use the storefront where you own and installed it.
- Run CircuitLord’s installer. It locates the game installation and checks for the EA app. If it reports that the EA app is missing, the project instructs users to launch Titanfall 2 once so the app can be installed.
- Install Northstar and the VR mod. The installer places them in a separate
TF2VRprofile within the game directory. This is a distinct modded profile, not a replacement for the ordinary launch: the README says a normal Titanfall 2 launch remains unmodded. - Start your VR runtime, then launch the mod. Open SteamVR or your chosen VR runtime, return to the installer, and press Launch in VR.
What the installer changes in the game folder
The project describes a manifest-driven install. Its manifest lists release versions, download URLs, and SHA-256 hashes; entries can preserve files already present, substitute game-folder tokens in selected files, and offer optional release channels.
The installer says it records the files it writes. During an update, it removes files shipped by the prior version if the new version no longer includes them; during uninstall, it removes files in its record. That is the documented cleanup behavior for files the installer tracks—not a promise of a complete backup of every original game file or control over unrelated files and changes made by other tools. Keep your own backup if you need one.

Find VR campaign saves and current releases
The project documents the VR campaign’s saves and settings at %LOCALAPPDATA%RespawnTitanfall2_VR, separate from the regular campaign. The installer provides a Campaign saves button to inspect or open that location.
Save instructions can change between installer versions. For example, the official releases page lists v1.2.5, dated September 30, 2026, with a note that campaign saves open from their new LocalAppData location; v1.2.4 noted that the VR campaign always starts a new save. Check the current release notes rather than relying on version-specific directions that may have changed.
