You can play PUBG Mobile on a Windows PC or supported Mac by installing BlueStacks, downloading the game through its search or Google Play flow, then using the built-in keyboard and mouse controls. BlueStacks’ setup requirements and available game settings vary by its page, operating system, hardware, and software version, so treat its recommendations as starting points rather than performance guarantees.
Before you install: check BlueStacks’ requirements
BlueStacks lists different storage figures on its own pages. Its PUBG installation guide specifies Windows 7 or later, an Intel or AMD processor, at least 4 GB of RAM, 5 GB of free disk space, administrator access, and updated graphics drivers. Install PUBG Mobile in BlueStacks
- Download and install BlueStacks from its official website: bluestacks.com. Check the applicable requirements above before proceeding.
- Open BlueStacks. If prompted, sign in to Google Play with your Google account.
- Use the BlueStacks search bar or open its Store, search for PUBG Mobile, and select the relevant game listing. BlueStacks describes this flow in its PUBG Mobile setup guide.
- Select Install and wait for the download to finish.
- Launch PUBG Mobile from the BlueStacks home screen.
If BlueStacks is already installed, start at the search or Store step. The game is installed inside BlueStacks; it is not a separate Windows or Mac desktop game installation.

Use and customize keyboard and mouse controls
When the game is open, select the Game controls or keyboard icon in BlueStacks’ side panel to see the current key overlay. Check the overlay in your own installation before relying on a remembered layout: mappings may change with game and BlueStacks updates.
BlueStacks’ PUBG guide lists examples including directional movement, Shift to sprint, 3 to jump, C to crouch, Z to go prone, R to reload, M for the map, Tab for the backpack, and F to interact or pick up items. The guide’s full layout also includes controls displayed as images, so this list is not a complete or guaranteed current key map.

Edit a key mapping
- Open the Game controls menu and select the controls editor or Advanced Editor.
- Select the on-screen control you want to change, then press the key you want to assign.
- Save the changes and test the mapping in a safe in-game situation.
BlueStacks’ control editor instructions also describe creating custom control profiles and switching between schemes. Keep a copy of a working scheme before experimenting if you may want to restore it.
Adjust performance settings carefully
BlueStacks’ PUBG-specific guide recommends allocating four CPU cores and 4 GB or more of memory, selecting High Performance mode, and enabling High frame rate mode. It also suggests trying HD graphics, Extreme frame rate—which that guide describes as up to 60 FPS—Classic or Realistic style, and turning Auto-adjust graphics off. These are vendor recommendations, not guaranteed results. The available choices and performance depend on your current game and BlueStacks versions, hardware, and operating system.

Change settings one at a time and check whether the game remains stable. If an option is missing, do not assume your setup is faulty; it may not be available for your game version, emulator version, or hardware.
Fix common control and installation problems
Controls stop working after a game update
BlueStacks warns that game updates can temporarily disrupt Smart Controls. Its documented workaround is to open Game controls, switch to the Standard or Default scheme, and return to Smart Controls after BlueStacks updates the mappings. See BlueStacks’ PUBG controls troubleshooting steps.

Mouse capture or sensitivity feels wrong
BlueStacks’ PUBG guide says to press F1 to toggle shooting mode and to adjust sensitivity in PUBG Mobile’s settings. Try each change separately so you can tell whether it improves control on your system.
The game stutters
BlueStacks suggests High Performance mode and allocating more CPU cores and RAM as troubleshooting steps. These changes may help, but they cannot guarantee a fix; performance also depends on the computer and current software versions.

Installation fails or the game is unavailable in your region
BlueStacks’ guide mentions APK installation and VPN use as possible responses to an installation error or regional block, and notes that restricted countries may have region-specific versions such as BGMI. Do not treat either workaround as universally appropriate: check local game availability and applicable rules first. BlueStacks itself warns that VPN use can carry account risks. Its article does not establish that these steps are safe or suitable for every account or region.

BlueStacks is an option if you want keyboard and mouse controls on a compatible PC or Mac; a handheld Android or iOS device uses touch controls. Consider your operating system and hardware, the controls you prefer, the graphics and frame-rate options available in your current setup, and whether the game is available in your region.
Competition rules are a separate consideration from casual play. The PUBG MOBILE Official Competition Rules, version 1.7.0, say participants may play only on handheld Android or iOS phones, may not use peripherals without tournament-official approval, and may not use an emulator on a PC. The rulebook states: “Players may not use an emulator to play on a PC or other device that is not a handheld device.” This restriction applies to competitions governed by that rulebook; it does not establish a blanket policy for casual play or settle rules for every region and current event.
