Netflix mobile games are downloaded apps that you install from Google Play or the App Store and play on your phone or tablet—not games streamed from a TV or computer. Open a game through Netflix’s Mobile Games row or Games shortcut, or search for it in your device’s app store. The games are included with an active Netflix membership, with “No ads. No extra fees. No in-app purchases,” according to Netflix.
What you need before downloading
- An active Netflix membership and an internet connection to download and install the game.
- Enough free storage for the game.
- A compatible Android phone or tablet, iPhone, or iPad. Netflix’s general recommended baselines are Android 9, iOS 17 for iPhone, and iPadOS 17 for iPad. Requirements vary by title, so check the individual game’s current support page before troubleshooting compatibility.
Netflix’s general missing-game troubleshooting page mentions older minimum OS thresholds—Android 8 and iOS or iPadOS 15. Those are troubleshooting thresholds, not the general recommended baselines; follow the specific game’s current requirements.

Install and play on Android
- Open the Netflix app and scroll to Mobile Games, or tap Games if that shortcut appears.
- Choose a game and tap Get Game. Netflix opens the game’s listing in Google Play.
- In Google Play, tap Install and wait for the download to finish. You can also search for the game directly in Google Play.
- Open the installed game from Netflix, your home screen, or the app drawer. If prompted, sign in with your Netflix account and choose the profile you want to use.
Install and play on iPhone or iPad
- Open Netflix and find Mobile Games. Select a title, then tap Get Game or Play Game.
- On the App Store banner, tap Get or the cloud-download icon. You can also search for the title directly in the App Store and tap Get or the cloud icon.
- After it downloads, open the game from Netflix or your device’s home screen. If asked, sign in to Netflix and select a profile.
If the game or Games shortcut is missing
- Update the Netflix app if you do not see the Mobile Games row or Games shortcut.
- Search the title in Google Play or the App Store. A title may not yet have launched in your region; Netflix says games appear in its available-games guide once available.
- Check the game’s specific device and operating-system requirements. A device may be incompatible even if other Netflix games work.
- Check the selected Netflix profile’s maturity setting. A game may be hidden when the profile’s setting is below the game’s rating.

Profiles, progress, and saves
A game uses the Netflix account and profile selected when you play. Save behavior depends on the game: some titles use cloud saves and others save locally, so cross-device continuity is not guaranteed. Netflix also says progress from a game released previously cannot be transferred to its Netflix version.

Mobile games are different from Netflix games on a TV or computer
This guide covers apps installed and played on the phone or tablet itself. Netflix also has a separate TV and computer gaming experience in which a phone or tablet can act as a controller. That setup is not required to install or play Netflix mobile games.
