A new game, Crazy Taxi: World Tour, is planned for 2027, but is not yet available.
Which versions can you play?
Mobile: check your regional app store
Search results have surfaced listings for Crazy Taxi Classic in Apple’s App Store and Google Play, but current availability could not be verified. That does not establish whether the game can be installed in your region, works with your OS version, or can be reinstalled if you previously downloaded it. Check the official store on your device for the current listing and compatibility details. Avoid relying on third-party download pages.

Legacy PC release: available to existing Steam owners
Steam’s November 6, 2024 notice said selected SEGA Classics, including Crazy Taxi, would be delisted from new purchases on December 6, 2024. The notice said existing owners could continue to download and play the games in their Steam libraries: “These gems will still live in your Steam library.” If you already own this edition, look for it in your Steam library; the notice is not a dependable route for buying it now. Read Steam’s delisting notice.

SEGA announced Crazy Taxi: World Tour on June 8, 2026, with a planned 2027 release for PC (Steam), Xbox on PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2. Steam currently says the game is not yet available and lists its planned release year as 2027; the schedule may change. Its listed Windows 11 processor, graphics, sound card, and additional requirements are still to be determined, so there are no reliable PC specs to use for a compatibility check yet. - With broad game support, the Logitech Gamepad F310 works with old standbys to today's biggest titles, so it's easy to set up and use with your favorite games.
- Profiler software allows the gamepad to be programmed to perform keyboard and mouse commands for games without gamepad support.* * Requires software installation.
- A familiar control layout that doesn't require a learning curve to be able to use, with all the same buttons as on an Xbox 360.
- The unique floating D-pad rests on four switches-instead of a single pivot point-making it responsive to quick changes in direction.
- The six-foot cord lets you lean back and play a comfortable distance from your PC monitor.
How to play the legacy PC version
The controls below are the defaults documented in SEGA’s manual for the older PC release. They may differ in another edition or after you change the configuration. Open the SEGA PC manual.

|---|---|
| Menu selection | Directional keys |
| Accelerate | Up |
| Brake | Down |
| Steer | Left / Right |
| Drive gear | D |
| Reverse gear | S |
| Destination indicator | A |
| Start | Enter |
| Confirm | S |
| Cancel | D |
Use a configurable controller
The manual describes Windows-compatible controllers with a D-pad and at least seven other assignable buttons. To set one up, launch the Dreamcast Collection program, choose Game Config, select the controller, then select an action and press the controller button you want to assign. This guidance applies to the legacy PC release; it does not confirm compatibility with every current controller, mobile devices, or World Tour.

Pick up passengers and make the drop-off
- Choose a mode from the game menu. The legacy PC manual lists Arcade, Original, Crazy Box, Records, Save & Load, and Exit.
- Stop your cab inside a passenger’s marked stop zone to pick them up.
- Follow the directional arrow to the destination, then stop inside its green zone before the time limit expires.
- Earn the base fare according to the destination distance. Crazy driving moves can earn tips, and the time remaining at delivery contributes to a bonus fare.
Perform the gear-shift moves
These techniques use the manual’s gear-shift controls. They are not verified touchscreen gestures or confirmed controls for World Tour.

What to check before choosing a version
- Already own the old Steam game? Check your library for the legacy release and use the manual’s PC controls.
- Want to play on a phone? Check the official store for your country and confirm the listing and device compatibility directly; current installability is not established.
- Waiting for the new PC or console game? World Tour is planned for 2027, but its Steam page says it is not yet available and does not yet provide complete PC requirements.
SEGA describes the series as beginning with an arcade release in 1999. Its announcement frames the gameplay as racing through the city to pick up passengers and deliver them to their destinations—a timed fare run rather than a conventional race.
