What each player decision means
- Hit: Take another card. You can keep hitting until you stand or bust.
- Stand: Keep your current total and end your turn.
- Split: If your first two cards form a pair, Stake Original Blackjack says you can split them into two hands by placing an additional amount equal to your original play amount. The two hands are then played separately under the game’s rules.
- Double: Add a matching amount to your original play amount in exchange for one additional card. Whether doubling is available in a particular situation depends on that game’s rules.
- Insurance: Stake Original Blackjack says this side bet is offered when the dealer’s exposed card is an ace. It pays 2:1 if the dealer has blackjack. Insurance is a separate wager; check its terms and decide whether to take it based on the rules shown in the game.

Gold Coins and Stake Cash are different play modes
Stake Help describes Gold Coins and Stake Cash as virtual tokens used for casino-style games. Stake’s Terms distinguish Standard Play, which uses Gold Coins and can win only Gold Coins, from Promotional Play or Sweepstakes, which uses Stake Cash. The Terms say only Stake Cash games offer an opportunity to redeem prizes; redemption has conditions, including identity and account requirements.
