For newly found URLs, Versionista’s documented workflow is to open the monitored site, select the URL, then choose to pause or delete it. Versionista recommends pausing rather than deleting: it says it will generally find deleted URLs again. The instructions are clearest for newly discovered URLs; the exact controls for every already-monitored URL are not established in the published guidance.
Pause or delete a newly found URL
- From the Versionista dashboard, open the monitored site that contains the URL.
- Select the newly found URL or URLs.
- Choose pause or delete. Versionista’s tutorial also says you can handle discovered URLs across sites from the combined all-pages view.
Versionista’s tutorial describes finding up to 150 new URLs per monitored site, with a maximum of 50 new URLs per scan. These are product limits stated by Versionista, not a guarantee that every site will yield that many URLs. See Versionista’s tutorial.

Choose pause instead of delete when possible

If you routinely review discovered URLs, Versionista says an option in Account Settings can automatically pause newly found URLs after three weeks. The tutorial does not specify a more precise settings path or label, so check the current Account Settings interface for the control. Versionista’s tutorial.

Versionista documents instant email alerts as a separate per-page setting in the page view’s Crawl area. Turning off an alert does not pause the URL’s monitoring; use the pause workflow when you want to change its monitoring status. Versionista alert tutorial.
What if the URL is already monitored?
The published instructions specifically explain managing newly found URLs. They do not establish the precise controls for every URL already in a monitored list, nor do they specify confirmation prompts, undo behavior, or whether historical captures remain after deletion. Check the current account interface or contact Versionista support before deleting an established URL if those details matter.

The reviewed Versionista API documentation describes adding a URL through a POST /watch endpoint and labels the API experimental and subject to change; it does not document a pause or delete endpoint. Do not assume an API call can perform either action.
