Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesCapture the webpage URL in a Zoho Flow variable, then send it to your screenshot provider with Flow’s Send Webhook action or a Deluge custom function using invokeURL. Map the variable to the exact query parameter or request-body field in that provider’s API documentation, configure its required method and authentication, and test the response before using it downstream.
The screenshot API is not specified here, so its endpoint, field names, authentication, and response format cannot be supplied as universal values. Do not guess them: use the contract for the provider you choose.

Choose how the webpage URL enters the flow
Start with the step that provides the URL. It could be an earlier app action or an incoming webhook. If another service starts the flow, Zoho Flow’s webhook trigger can receive JSON, form data, or plain text. Configure the trigger to match the format the sender actually transmits.
- In the Flow builder, add the webhook trigger or the preceding app step that supplies the webpage URL.
- For an incoming webhook, select the matching data format: JSON, form data, or plain text.
- Send a sample request and inspect the fields Flow exposes. Confirm which field contains the complete webpage URL.
Zoho’s guide to webhook triggers explains receiving and testing webhook data: Zoho Flow webhooks.
#1 Best Overall
Send the URL with a Send Webhook action
Use this route when Flow’s action fields can express the request the screenshot API requires. Consult that API’s documentation for its endpoint, supported HTTP method, required URL parameter or body field, authentication, headers, and content type before configuring the action.
- Add the Send Webhook action after the step that contains the URL.
- Enter the screenshot API’s documented endpoint and HTTP method.
- Map the URL variable into the exact query parameter or request-body field named by the API provider. The field name is provider-specific; do not assume it is
url. - Configure required headers, content type, and credentials according to the provider’s API documentation.
- Run a test and inspect the response. Check that it represents a successful capture and that the output is usable by the next Flow action.
Zoho documents outgoing webhooks and their configurable request data in its webhook help and Send Webhook action guide.
Rank #2
Use a Deluge custom function when the request needs logic
If you need to transform the URL, construct request data conditionally, or handle the response with custom logic, use a Flow custom function and Deluge’s invokeURL task. The endpoint, method, field names, authentication, and response handling must still come from the chosen screenshot API’s documentation; they are not universal.
- Add a custom function where the screenshot request belongs in the workflow.
- Pass the webpage URL from the earlier step into the function.
- Use
invokeURLto make the HTTP/API call with the provider’s documented request format. - Return or map the useful response value into a subsequent Flow action, based on what the API actually returns.
See Zoho’s documentation for custom functions in Zoho Flow and Deluge’s invokeURL task.
Pick the route that matches the API request
| Route | Use it when | Consider |
|---|---|---|
| Send Webhook action | The request can be expressed using Flow’s configurable request fields. | Whether the required method, fields, authentication, and request format are supported and easy to test. |
Custom function with invokeURL |
The workflow needs custom Deluge logic or request/response handling. | The code and transformation needed, authentication setup, and how the function output will map to later actions. |
Zoho documents both approaches; no performance comparison is established here. Choose based on request requirements and maintainability, not an assumed speed or reliability difference.
Test the complete flow and troubleshoot failures
Test with a known public webpage URL, then verify both the API response and what the next Flow step receives. The response could be a URL, file, or another representation depending on the provider, so validate it against that provider’s documented response format.
Rank #4
- The URL field is missing: Check that the incoming payload format selected in the webhook trigger matches what the sender transmits. Send a sample again and inspect the resulting fields.
- The API rejects the request: Recheck the provider’s required HTTP method, endpoint, exact parameter or body-field name, content type, headers, and authentication. Do not infer these from another screenshot API.
- The request succeeds but a later step cannot use the result: Inspect the actual response and map the appropriate returned value or file representation into that action.
- The Flow action cannot express a needed transformation: Use a custom function with
invokeURLand map its output onward. - The test behaves differently from the expected API result: Confirm the target URL is public and inspect the provider’s response and error details alongside Flow’s test output.
Or skip the browser setup
Instead of assembling a browser-capture workflow, you can call ScreenshotNeo, a screenshot API with an MCP server for AI agents. Its API accepts a URL and returns an image or PDF; the request below saves a WebP image. See the ScreenshotNeo API documentation for the request options and response details.

ScreenshotNeo accepts cookie and consent banners before capture and removes more than 60 known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets; those steps can be turned off. Bot checks, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits cost nothing, with response headers indicating the page verdict and whether the shot was billed. Its MCP server provides take_screenshot, get_page_info, and capture_pdf tools for Claude, Cursor, and other MCP clients. The Free plan includes 1,000 screenshots per month with no card; paid plans start at $5 for 3,000 screenshots.
