Choose the right kind of record
Print to PDF for a readable document
A browser’s print view creates conventional pages and may preserve searchable or selectable text where supported. It can also rearrange or omit elements compared with the live page. Check the preview for page breaks, clipped details, missing backgrounds, and whether the price and seller appear. Firefox specifically cautions that websites can look different in print than they do on screen.

Full-page screenshot for the page’s visual arrangement
A full-page screenshot captures the rendered page rather than laying it out as a conventional print document. It is useful when you want the product image, selected variation, price, and seller to appear in their page context. On iPhone, Apple documents a Full Page screenshot option for supported flows, including Safari webpages; Firefox for iOS also documents a screenshot-to-PDF workflow.

For a price record, consider keeping both
The PDF and screenshot serve different purposes. If the exact arrangement matters, retain both when practical. Neither format alone guarantees that every live element was captured, or that the file is a tamper-proof or legally conclusive record.

Save a product page as PDF on Windows
- Open the product page and wait for its price, selected options, and other relevant details to finish loading.
- Press Ctrl+P.
- In the printer or destination menu, select Microsoft Print to PDF or Save as PDF. The wording depends on the browser and Windows setup.
- Click Print, then choose a filename and save location when prompted.
- Open the saved file and check that the record is complete and readable.
Windows 10 has built-in PDF printing. If Microsoft Print to PDF is not available, Chrome has offered its own Save as PDF option on older Windows installations. Labels and availability can vary, so use the PDF destination shown by your browser.
Save a product page as PDF on Mac
- Open the product page and wait for the information you want to record to load.
- Press Command+P.
- In the print dialog, open the PDF menu, usually at the lower left, and choose Save as PDF.
- Choose a filename and save location.
- Open the PDF and inspect it before relying on it as a record.
Available labels can vary by browser. If a detail is missing from the preview, adjust the print settings or preserve the page separately with a screenshot.

Save a product page as PDF in Firefox on desktop
- Open the Firefox menu and choose Print.
- In the print preview, set Destination to Save to PDF.
- Review the settings before saving. Firefox provides controls for orientation, page range, color, paper size, scale, margins, print headers and footers, and print backgrounds.
- Save the PDF, then open it and check the result.
Adjust scale or margins if the price, selected product option, or seller is close to a page edge. Because a website may set up a different print appearance from its screen appearance, do not assume the PDF is a pixel-for-pixel record of the page.

Save a full-page product record on iPhone
Use a Full Page screenshot
- Take a screenshot. On an iPhone with Face ID, press the side button and volume-up button together; on an iPhone with a Home button, press the side and Home buttons together.
- Tap the screenshot thumbnail, then choose Full Page if the option is available.
- Review and crop or annotate only if needed. For a price record, keep an unaltered original when possible.
- Save or export the result using the options shown by the app and iOS. The exact PDF export path can depend on the app and operating-system interface.
Use Firefox for iOS to save the full screenshot as PDF
- Open the page in Firefox and take a screenshot.
- Open the screenshot thumbnail and tap Full Page.
- Tap Done, then choose Save as PDF.
Save a Safari webpage as PDF
- Open the webpage in Safari.
- Tap the Page Menu, then Share.
- Choose Markup, then tap Done.
- Choose Save File To, name the file, and save it.
The Safari tab layout affects where the Share button appears: it may be at the top or bottom of the screen.

Check the saved record before you rely on it
- Product and variant: Confirm the exact product name and selected model, size, color, or other option.
- Price: Check that the amount and currency are legible.
- Seller: Make sure the merchant or marketplace seller is identifiable.
- Offer conditions: Preserve any promotion, coupon, subscription requirement, shipping charge, or availability language that affects the comparison.
- Completeness: Open the saved file and look for clipped text, missing images, or page breaks that separate a price from its product.
- Context: Keep the source URL and capture date and time in a note or filename. A saved page may not make that context obvious later.
A practical filename format is 2026-10-03_store_product-name_price.pdf; replace the example date and descriptive parts with your actual capture details. This is a recordkeeping practice, not proof that the displayed price was available at every moment or to every shopper.

The PDF destination is missing
Check the browser’s destination or printer menu for Save as PDF or Microsoft Print to PDF. On Mac, look for the PDF menu in the print dialog. The exact label depends on the operating system and browser.

The PDF is missing the price or seller
Return to the page and verify the details are visible before printing. Inspect the preview, adjust scale or margins, and check page range and orientation. If print layout still omits or rearranges important context, use a full-page screenshot workflow as well.
The page is too long or content is missing
Wait for the product information to load before capture. Review all pages of the saved PDF or scroll through the full-page screenshot before saving. Some page content may load only as you scroll, so a capture taken too soon may not include it.
The saved file does not show when or where it came from
Add the page URL and capture time to a separate note or filename. Do this before moving or sharing the file so its context stays attached.

Keep a second copy if the record matters
You can save the PDF or screenshot to another location, such as an optional USB flash drive, as a backup. No extra hardware is required for the browser workflows above. Keep an unaltered original when possible, especially if you also make an annotated or cropped copy.
