Start by identifying your exact model
The model name is printed on the headphones, the box, or the product information that came with them. Write it down before you search, because Skullcandy publishes separate pairing material for different models, and instructions for one model do not reliably carry over to another.

General pairing sequence
Once you have the model guide open, the process follows the same broad pattern on most Bluetooth headsets:
- Charge the headset. A low battery can cause the headset to power off or stop responding during pairing.
- Put the headset into pairing mode. Use the button or power action that the model guide describes for pairing mode. The guide defines the press, hold duration, and indicator light pattern for your model.
- Turn on Bluetooth on the device. Open the Bluetooth settings on your phone, tablet, or computer. On most phones this is under Settings, then Bluetooth.
- Select the headset from the list. When the headset appears under available devices, select it and accept any pairing prompt.
- Confirm the connection. The device should show the headset as connected, and audio should play through it.
If an older entry for the same headset is already saved on the device and the new connection fails, remove that entry from the Bluetooth list and repeat steps 2 through 5.

If the headset does not appear or will not connect
Do not try a reset sequence from another model or from a generic guide. Reset procedures vary, and a wrong combination can leave the headset in a state that is harder to fix. Instead:
- Confirm that the headset is charged and that it is in pairing mode as described in the model guide.
- Keep the headset close to the device, and turn off other Bluetooth devices nearby that might be competing for the connection.
- Open the troubleshooting or reset section of the official guide for your exact model and follow it from start to finish.
Do you need the Skullcandy app?
Skullcandy’s product registration page lists the Crusher ANC among products that can be registered through the app. Registration is a separate task from Bluetooth pairing. The official material located for this article does not show that the app is required to pair the headset with a phone or computer, so you can pair first and register later if you choose to.

Pairing a headset you already own
You do not need a new headset to pair one you already have. If you are comparing models, check the exact model name, the noise cancelling feature set, and the device compatibility listed on the official product page before you buy, and confirm that the model has official pairing documentation.
