How to Pair Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 with a Phone and Connect a Second Device

Pair your OpenRun Pro 2 with a phone, confirm success from the voice prompt and LED, and connect a second device with Shokz MultiPoint.
Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

To pair an OpenRun Pro 2 with a phone, switch the headphones off, hold Volume + until the LED flashes red and blue and you hear “pairing,” then choose OpenRun Pro 2 by Shokz in the phone’s Bluetooth settings. To connect a second device, use Shokz’s MultiPoint setup; the documentation explains how to connect both devices but does not specify a universal rule or button gesture for switching the active audio source.

Pair OpenRun Pro 2 with your phone

  1. Turn the headphones off.
  2. Press and hold Volume + until the LED alternates between red and blue and the voice prompt says “pairing.”
  3. On your phone, open Bluetooth settings and select OpenRun Pro 2 by Shokz.
  4. Wait for the connected prompt. Shokz says a blue LED also indicates that pairing succeeded.

These are Shokz’s model-specific instructions for OpenRun Pro 2 phone and PC pairing.

Connect a second device with MultiPoint

MultiPoint lets the headphones connect to two devices. Shokz’s OpenRun Pro 2 usage guide, published November 14, 2025, describes this setup:

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
  1. With the headphones off, hold Volume + until pairing mode begins.
  2. While in pairing mode, hold Multifunction and Volume + together while pairing the first device.
  3. Turn the headphones off, then hold Volume + again until they enter pairing mode.
  4. On the second device, open Bluetooth settings and select OpenRun Pro 2 by Shokz.
  5. Turn the headphones off and on again. Shokz says they will then be connected to both devices.

Shokz also says MultiPoint Pairing can be managed in the Shokz app.

What “switch between devices” means here

Shokz’s usage guide says, “Using MultiPoint Pairing, you can effortlessly switch between two devices.” However, the model-specific materials do not explain which connected device takes over audio automatically or document a particular manual switching gesture. Treat MultiPoint as the documented way to connect two devices, rather than assuming the headphones always prioritize the most recently used device or switch with a specific button press. The OpenRun Pro 2 product page identifies MultiPoint as a feature, but does not resolve that active-source behavior.

Bluetooth specifications

Shokz lists Bluetooth 5.3 and a stated wireless range of 33 ft (10 m) for the OpenRun Pro 2 on its Asia specifications page. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent performance measurements.
