Pair the earbuds with your device
These steps apply to the Bose QuietComfort Earbuds sold from 2024. Bose’s instructions do not establish that the same touch-control sequence applies to earlier QuietComfort Earbuds models.

- Prepare the earbuds. Open the charging case and wait until its status light starts to glow, then remove the earbuds. Bose says they are ready to connect when removed.
- Enter pairing mode if needed. Touch and hold either earbud for four seconds, until you hear “Ready to pair.”
- Choose the earbuds in Bluetooth settings. On the iPhone, Android phone, or computer, open Bluetooth settings, turn Bluetooth on if needed, and select “Bose QuietComfort Earbuds” from the available devices.
- Open the Bose QCE app afterward, if you want its added functionality. Bose says the earbuds must first be connected through the device’s Bluetooth list.
Bose’s official connection instructions give the general Bluetooth-list procedure. They do not provide current, step-by-step menu paths for iOS, Android, Windows, or macOS, so the exact labels and screens may vary by device and software version.
What to select on an iPhone, Android phone, or computer
The pairing action is the same on all three: use the device’s Bluetooth settings and choose “Bose QuietComfort Earbuds.” Bose’s instructions do not specify platform-specific menu paths or Android version requirements.

Connect to more than one device
The earbuds can be actively connected to two devices at once, but audio plays from only one device at a time. If two devices are already connected and you connect another, the new connection replaces the older of the two existing connections. Bose says the earbuds remember the last several connected devices and can reconnect automatically, but does not specify how many devices are remembered.

Check the model before following the touch-and-hold instruction. The four-second action and the other steps here are documented for the QuietComfort Earbuds sold from 2024; Bose’s cited instructions do not confirm that the same sequence works on earlier generations.
