To order food for a business meeting through Uber Eats, select a restaurant, start a group order, share its link with attendees, then review and submit the order. If you want the meal charged to your company, set up or select a business profile. Restaurant participation, order capacity, available payment options and fees vary, so confirm what your account shows before checkout.
Choose a group order or individual meals
A group order creates one shared order: attendees use a link to choose their own items, and the organizer reviews and submits it. Uber for Business also describes individual meals billed through linked business profiles. A shared order can make coordination easier; individual orders may suit a meeting where attendees need separate transactions. The available workflow depends on the restaurant and market. Uber for Business group ordering describes the shared-order workflow and notes that restaurant capacity varies.

Set up business billing if needed
Uber Help says you need a business profile to bill a business group order to your organization’s payment method. In Uber Eats, open Account and then Business Preferences to set one up or select an existing profile. Labels and options may differ by market. Business enrollment itself does not make meals free: the food order and applicable fees still have costs. Uber Help’s business group-order instructions explain the profile requirement.

Uber for Business describes both family-style meals for sharing and boxed lunches. Boxed meals can help keep individual choices separate, while shared dishes may suit a less formal team meal. The restaurant’s menu and availability determine what you can actually order.

For large group orders, Uber Help directs customers to the Boxed Catering category in the app to find participating restaurants. Not every restaurant offers catering or can serve every headcount; capacity depends on the restaurant, its stock and the complexity of the dishes. Uber says some large or event-focused restaurants may accommodate up to 100 people, but capacity can fluctuate. Uber’s Large Group Orders FAQ describes the category and market-dependent availability.
Create and share the group order
- Select a restaurant: Choose one that offers the dishes and delivery options you need.
- Start the group order: Open the restaurant and select Group order, then confirm the delivery details.
- Choose payment and limits: If shown, select whether you will pay centrally or attendees will pay their own shares. You may also be able to set a per-person spending limit. Confirm the options in your order flow; availability can vary.
- Share the link: Send the generated link to meeting attendees and give them a clear deadline to add their selections.
- Review, lock and submit: Check the items and order details. Locking the order prevents guests from adding or editing items; then complete checkout and place it.

Schedule delivery and set a realistic deadline
Scheduling can help coordinate delivery with a meeting start time. Uber Help defines large group orders as orders for 10 or more people and recommends scheduling them at least 24 hours before the desired delivery time. It also recommends keeping these orders to 100 or fewer participants, while noting that restaurants may set their own limits. These are localized help-page recommendations, not a guarantee that a restaurant will accept an order of that size. Confirm the restaurant’s capacity and the time slots shown in the app. Uber’s Large Group Orders FAQ provides this guidance.
Uber’s US office-lunch page says orders for groups up to 15 can be placed with the Uber app and that it is working on accommodating larger orders. That describes the app workflow on that page, not a universal restaurant capacity limit. For a larger group, check for the Boxed Catering category and confirm availability directly in the order flow. Check the total and understand changes after checkout
Review the full total, delivery details and estimated arrival time before submitting. Uber says standard service fees apply and directs customers to the app for current fees; the amount can vary, so there is no reliable universal fee to quote. Uber’s group-order page advises checking current fees in the app.
If a company-paid scheduled group order needs an update, Uber Help says a request may be made up to 75 minutes before the estimated delivery time, but the merchant does not have to accept it. The same FAQ says participant-paid scheduled orders cannot be updated. Do not count on changes being approved; verify the order carefully before placing it. Meeting-order checklist
- Choose a business profile if the company should pay.
- Confirm the restaurant serves your meeting location and can handle the expected headcount.
- Pick family-style or boxed meals based on how attendees will eat and choose.
- Share the group-order link with a deadline that leaves time to review the cart.
- Schedule well ahead for a large group, then verify delivery time, fees and the final total at checkout.
