You can move a HubSpot site to WordPress, but there is no documented one-click HubSpot-to-WordPress converter. Treat HubSpot’s HTML export as source material: inventory the site, export content and supporting data, rebuild the design and functionality in WordPress, test on staging, map URLs and redirects, and cancel HubSpot only after replacement forms and calls to action work.
What HubSpot actually exports
HubSpot documents an HTML export for website pages, landing pages, blog posts and templates. The exported files are intended to help you import content to another platform; they are not a finished WordPress installation or a promise that HubSpot modules will become WordPress blocks automatically. HubSpot’s current procedure is documented in Export web content and data.
Do not confuse a report export with a content backup. HubSpot says page-data and metrics exports do not contain the site’s complete HTML. Export the actual web content as well as the separate data sets your rebuild needs.
1. Inventory everything before exporting
Create a spreadsheet of the current site and give every item an owner and a planned WordPress destination.

- Published website pages, landing pages and blog posts
- Templates, modules, stylesheets, images, documents and other files
- Navigation menus, footer links, calls to action and embedded media
- Forms, workflows, thank-you pages, gated content and consent language
- SEO titles, meta descriptions, canonicals, robots directives, structured data and social images
- Current URLs, redirects, XML sitemap entries and internal links
- HubDB tables or other dynamic content
- Analytics, advertising, CRM, chat, payment and marketing-automation integrations
This inventory determines whether a page-by-page rebuild is realistic or whether you need development work for dynamic content, custom templates or integrations.
2. Export HubSpot content and supporting data
Export pages, landing pages and blog posts as HTML
- In HubSpot, open Website Pages, Landing Pages or Blog.
- Open the Actions menu and choose Export all pages and blog posts (HTML).
- Select Export and save the download link HubSpot sends after processing.
HubSpot requires a Super Admin or a user with Publish permission for this export. Templates are included in the archive’s Styles folder. Keep the original archive unchanged as a reference while rebuilding.
Export the data that HTML does not cover
Use HubSpot’s account export options for the additional material relevant to your site, including SEO data, sitemaps, URL redirects, files and HubDB data. HubSpot also provides blog-post exports in CSV, XLS or XLSX formats. The available categories and permissions depend on your account; the complete list is in HubSpot’s content and data export guide.
- Save a copy of the URL list and redirect rules before changing DNS or cancelling services.
- Download original images and documents, then verify that filenames and references remain understandable.
- Export CRM or automation data separately if HubSpot is also your marketing system; a website HTML export does not replace those systems.
3. Choose a WordPress rebuild approach
Choose based on content volume, template complexity, dynamic data, integrations, URL changes, available skills and who will maintain the site after launch.

| Approach | Best fit | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| Manual, page-by-page rebuild | Small site with straightforward pages and a standard block-based design | Easy to review, but every page and form must be recreated by hand |
| Developer-led or agency rebuild | Custom templates, HubDB-backed content, complex forms, gated areas or multiple integrations | Handles bespoke behavior, but requires qualified implementation and ongoing maintenance planning |
| Mixed rebuild | Sites that can use exported HTML as a content reference while adopting native WordPress components | Balances speed and control, but still requires careful reconstruction and testing |
There is no source-supported universal importer for HubSpot’s exported archive. Plan to recreate the visual system and behavior with a suitable WordPress theme, blocks, custom code and plugins rather than expecting templates or modules to convert automatically.
4. Build the site in WordPress
Set up a safe destination
Install WordPress on the new host or a staging site, configure the intended domain structure, enable HTTPS, and restrict staging from search engines. Decide whether the site will use posts, pages, custom post types or another content model before importing a large amount of material.

Recreate layouts and styles
Use the HubSpot archive as a visual and content reference. Rebuild headers, footers, navigation, reusable sections, responsive breakpoints, typography, forms and calls to action with WordPress-native or custom components. Check image dimensions, alt text and downloadable-file links instead of copying broken HubSpot asset paths.
Replace dynamic and connected features
HubDB tables, personalization, gated downloads, workflows, chat, analytics and CRM hand-offs need an equivalent WordPress implementation or an intentional retirement plan. Document what each integration receives and sends, then test the replacement with a non-production record.
5. Preserve URLs and plan redirects
Make a two-column URL map: every old HubSpot URL and its exact WordPress destination. Keep the same slug and path where practical. For every changed or removed URL, choose a relevant replacement and configure a permanent redirect through the web server, host or a maintained WordPress redirect solution.

- Update navigation, buttons and all internal links to the new destinations.
- Set canonical URLs, robots directives and sitemap references for the WordPress URLs.
- Import or recreate the redirect rules exported from HubSpot, then test both direct requests and chained redirects.
- Submit the new sitemap in the search tools you use after DNS cutover.
WordPress’s official Migrating WordPress handbook covers domain and URL moves. It complements this rebuild process; it is not a HubSpot importer.

Do a complete crawl and sample important journeys before making the WordPress site public.
- Open every page type at desktop and mobile widths; check menus, forms, images, downloads and embedded media.
- Submit each form and confirm validation, consent records, notifications, CRM delivery, autoresponders and thank-you behavior.
- Trigger calls to action, gated-content access and other conversion paths with test data.
- Check page titles, descriptions, canonicals, headings, structured data, analytics tags and social previews.
- Request a sample of old URLs and verify they resolve directly or redirect once to the intended WordPress URL.
- Review performance, accessibility, 404s, mixed-content warnings and browser-console errors.
Fix defects on staging, repeat the checks after the final content sync, and record a rollback plan before changing DNS.

7. Cut over and retire HubSpot carefully
Lower DNS risk by reducing the DNS record’s TTL ahead of the planned switch, then point the domain to the WordPress host during a quiet period. Keep the HubSpot site and exports available while propagation and post-launch checks run.
Do not deactivate the relevant HubSpot account or service until every dependency has a working replacement. HubSpot states that all forms lose paid features after account deactivation and that legacy CTAs stop functioning. Recheck forms, CTA links, tracking and integrations after the switch, then cancel only when the inventory shows no remaining dependency.
Common migration questions
Can I import the HubSpot ZIP directly into WordPress?
Not according to the cited HubSpot and WordPress documentation. The archive supplies HTML, styles and related material; WordPress still requires a rebuild of content, templates and behavior.
Will my SEO rankings transfer automatically?
No automatic transfer is established. Preserve URLs where possible, map changes with permanent redirects, reproduce metadata and canonicals, publish a correct sitemap, and monitor crawl errors after launch.
