The safest move is a coordinated guild operation: store working Pals, stage chests at both sites, dismantle buildings before the Palbox, transport the refunded materials, and only then remove the old base anchor.

What happens when you move a base
The Palbox is the base anchor. Its location defines the build area, and it cannot be repositioned after placement. There is no completed-base “move” command that preserves every building in place. To relocate, open the world map, select the old base, choose the disassembly option, and hold the displayed input through the warning. The old Palbox is removed, after which you can build a new Palbox at another suitable location.
Ordinary structures are handled separately. Production buildings, farms, beds, defenses and similar objects should be dismantled manually through Build Mode’s Disassembly Mode before you remove the Palbox. The building resources are refunded, allowing you to carry or store them and use them again at the destination. If you remove the Palbox first, you risk losing structures that were still inside the old base area instead of recovering their materials one by one.

Pals left in Palbox storage are not deleted by the relocation. They remain in storage and can be deployed after the new Palbox is built. Working Pals should still be returned to storage before teardown so they are not left in an active work area while the base is being dismantled.
Multiplayer rules to settle before touching the Palbox
Guild bases are shared
In a multiplayer guild, bases, Palbox locations, chests and workbenches are shared. A dismantle action therefore affects everyone in that guild, not only the player who opens the map. Production queues and chest contents are common property as well. Agree on what is moving, what can be consumed during the transition, and who will handle rebuilding before anyone confirms disassembly.

Stored Pals and assigned Pals have different ownership implications
The guild guide distinguishes Pals in personal Palbox storage from Pals assigned to a guild base. Boxed Pals remain private to the player, while Pals assigned to the shared base can be moved or retained by guild members. As a practical safeguard, have every member return their working Pals to their own Palbox storage before the teardown and record which Pals were assigned to production, farming or defense.
Check the host’s base limit
If the host has another base slot available, you can build the destination Palbox before dismantling the old one. This two-base overlap makes sorting and transferring supplies much easier. If no slot is available, the guild must use a one-base teardown: dismantle the old base, move the materials, and then place the replacement Palbox.
A Palworld.tools base-level table published with 2026 page data lists the guild base-count column reaching four at its highest listed levels, with extra slots unlocking at milestones. That is not a universal guarantee: world and server settings can alter the available limit. Check the host’s current base count and server configuration in-game before planning an overlap.
Check PvE or PvP conditions
On official PvP server settings, bases must be farther apart than on ordinary settings, and building or repairing is blocked while a base is under attack. Schedule the move when the base is not being attacked and verify that the destination satisfies the server’s spacing rules. A move that works in a private or PvE world can fail in PvP because the destination is too close to another base or construction is temporarily disabled.

Step-by-step: the safest multiplayer move
1. Announce the move and assign responsibilities
Tell every guild member when the old base will be dismantled. Assign one person to inspect the destination, another to organize storage, and another to verify that no member still has a Pal or valuable item in an active queue. Decide whether the guild is using a one-base teardown or a two-base overlap. Do not rely on a single player’s inventory as the only record of shared resources.
2. Survey and prepare the destination
Visit the proposed site before dismantling anything. Look for open, reasonably flat ground large enough for the Palbox and the buildings you intend to reconstruct first. In PvP, confirm the required distance from other bases and make sure the server permits construction there. A Palbox cannot be repositioned after placement, so choose the final anchor point rather than treating the first placement as a test.
3. Build staging chests at both locations
Place wooden chests at the old base and at the destination. Use them as transfer points instead of trying to carry every refunded resource in one inventory. Label or agree on chest roles verbally—for example, stone and wood, ore and ingots, food, and building components—so guild members do not accidentally consume materials reserved for the rebuild.
4. Return working Pals to Palbox storage
Open the Palbox and remove every Pal from work assignments, farms, production stations and defenses. Return them to storage before dismantling buildings. This keeps workers out of the construction area and prevents a member from assuming that a Pal left at a station has already been secured. Each player should verify their own stored Pals before the group proceeds.
5. Empty and document shared production
Collect finished goods from workbenches and production buildings, then decide what should be carried, placed in the destination chest or left for another guild member. Check queues that are still running. Because production and storage are shared within the guild base, dismantling a station can interrupt the group’s workflow even though the resources used to build the station are refunded.
6. Dismantle ordinary structures first
Enter Build Mode and switch to Disassembly Mode. Remove production buildings, farms, beds, defenses, storage, decorative objects and other structures individually. Work around the base systematically so nothing is overlooked. The purpose of this order is resource recovery: taking structures apart by hand returns the materials used to construct them, giving you supplies for the new site.

Move the refunded materials into the old-base staging chests as your inventory fills. Keep essential items—such as the components needed for the first storage box, beds, food setup and production station—in a separate transfer stack so they are not buried among bulk resources.
7. Transport materials in batches
Take one inventory load to the destination, deposit it in the new-site chest, and return for the next load. If the old Palbox remains active, use fast travel to a point near the destination whenever a convenient travel point exists. A flying mount is the fallback when fast travel is not practical. The exact route matters less than avoiding a single overloaded trip that leaves valuable materials exposed or forces a player to discard items.

In a one-base teardown, keep the materials in the old-site staging chests until the group is ready to dismantle the Palbox, then move them using fast travel, mounts and normal inventory runs.
8. Dismantle the old Palbox last
When ordinary structures are gone, confirm that working Pals are stored, queues and chests have been checked, and the transfer plan is understood. Open the world map, select the old base, choose the disassembly command and continue through the warning by holding the displayed input. This removes the old base anchor. If you are using two-base overlap, leave the old Palbox in place until the replacement is usable and the guild no longer needs the old build area.
9. Place the replacement Palbox carefully
At the destination, enter the Palbox construction menu and place it on open, flat ground. Check the projected base area before confirming. The Palbox anchors the build radius and cannot be repositioned once placed, so do not put it against terrain, inside an invalid overlap or where the intended farms and production stations will not fit.
10. Rebuild in a useful order
Reconstruct the minimum facilities that make the new base functional before adding decoration or optional defenses:

- Beds: provide sleeping places for the guild’s active workers and players who need the base operational.
- Food: restore the food production or storage setup so assigned Pals can be maintained.
- Production: rebuild the workbenches and stations needed for the guild’s immediate tasks.
- Farms and defenses: restore resource generation and protection after the core workflow is stable.
- Optional structures: replace decoration and lower-priority buildings once the inventory and production system is working.
Return stored Pals to appropriate assignments only after beds, food and stations are ready. Have each guild member verify that their Pals and personal inventory are present before the move is considered complete.

Dismantling the Palbox before the buildings
Symptom: the old base disappears and some structures or their materials are no longer available for collection.
Fix: rebuild the process around resource recovery. Ordinary structures must be dismantled in Disassembly Mode before the Palbox is removed. Treat the Palbox as the final teardown step, not the first.
Assuming the Palbox carries building materials
Symptom: the new site has a Palbox but not enough wood, stone, ore or components to reconstruct the base.
Fix: move refunded materials through staged chests and planned inventory trips. The Palbox preserves stored Pals; it is not a portable warehouse for every structure and resource.
Leaving Pals assigned during teardown
Symptom: a member cannot find a working Pal or another player assumes it was lost.

Fix: have every member return assigned Pals to their own Palbox storage and confirm the count before dismantling stations. Stored Pals remain available after the new Palbox is built.
Moving without guild consent
Symptom: another member loses access to a chest, workbench, queue or base assignment unexpectedly.
Fix: announce the move, pause shared production, and inventory common chests together. Guild members cannot maintain a private base inside the same guild arrangement, so a base decision affects the group.
Planning a second Palbox without checking the limit
Symptom: the destination Palbox cannot be placed before the old one is removed.
Fix: confirm the host’s current base count, base level and world or server settings. The four-base figure shown in the 2026 Palworld.tools table is the highest listed row, not a promise that every multiplayer world exposes four slots.

Symptom: building or repairing is unavailable, or the destination fails a spacing check.
Fix: wait until the base is no longer under attack, then verify the official PvP distance requirements before placing the new Palbox.
One-base teardown checklist
- Guild members have agreed on the move and know which resources are shared.
- The destination has been inspected for terrain, space and server restrictions.
- Wooden staging chests are ready at the old and new locations.
- Every working Pal has been returned to Palbox storage.
- Finished goods have been collected and active production queues reviewed.
- Ordinary structures have been dismantled in Build Mode’s Disassembly Mode.
- Refunded materials are sorted into chests and a transfer route is ready.
- Fast travel points or a flying mount are available for transport.
- The old Palbox is the final object scheduled for dismantling.
- The new Palbox will be placed only after its build radius has been checked.
Two-base overlap checklist
- The host has a spare base slot under the current world or server settings.
- The destination Palbox has been placed on suitable ground before old-base teardown.
- Transfer chests at the destination are protected from accidental consumption.
- Essential beds, food, storage and production are rebuilt at the new site.
- Stored Pals and shared inventory have been verified at the new base.
- The old Palbox is dismantled only after the guild no longer needs the old base.

Bottom line for a multiplayer relocation
Move the guild as an organized teardown, not as a single demolition click. Secure every working Pal in storage, recover structures by hand, stage materials in chests, use fast travel or a mount for batches, and dismantle the old Palbox only after the group is ready. If a spare base slot exists, build the destination first; if it does not, rely on staged storage and a coordinated one-base transfer. The Pals in storage survive the move, but the base itself must be rebuilt.
