Vivaldi’s iOS app does not document a way to move the New Tab button independently. The button sits on the right side of the Tab Bar. You can move the Tab Bar and Address Bar together to the bottom, or open a tab through the Vivaldi menu or Tab Switcher instead.
Can you move the New Tab button on iPhone or iPad?
Vivaldi’s iOS tabs guide places the New Tab button on the right side of the Tab Bar and documents how to show or hide the bar. It does not document a setting for repositioning that button within the bar.

If your goal is to bring Vivaldi’s controls closer to your thumb, you can move the Address Bar and Tab Bar together. This changes the placement of the bars, not the New Tab button’s position within the Tab Bar.

- Open the Vivaldi menu and tap Settings.
- Tap Tabs.
- Under Address Bar Position, select Bottom. Vivaldi’s iOS interface guide documents this layout option.
Show or hide the Tab Bar
If you want to change whether the bar is displayed, open Vivaldi menu > Settings > Tabs > Tab Style, then change Show Tab Bar. This controls the bar’s visibility rather than the button’s individual position. See Vivaldi’s instructions for tabs on iOS.
Open a new tab without using the Tab Bar button
- Use the menu: Open the Vivaldi menu and choose New Tab.
- Use the Tab Switcher: Open it and tap its New Tab button.
- Use the Tab Switcher shortcut: Long-press the Tab Switcher button, then choose New tab.
