Save the export first, check TickTick’s current import options, and plan to recreate the Keep items you want as tasks if no compatible import appears. Also check Google Tasks and Calendar for reminders that migrated out of Keep in 2025.
1. Export and preserve your Google Keep data
Use Google Takeout to create an archive of your Keep data. Google says the export can include note text and list items, attachments, note colors, pinned and archived status, collaborators, and labels. Keep the archive as a reference before changing or deleting notes.

- Open Google Takeout and select Google Keep for export.
- Create the export and save the resulting archive somewhere you can access while setting up TickTick.
- If you use a work or school Google account, first confirm that your organization allows Keep data to be downloaded. Google notes that some managed-account data may not be available through Takeout.
2. Check TickTick’s import options
On TickTick’s web version, open the avatar menu and go to Settings > Backup. Use the Import link associated with an app file to see which formats the live importer accepts. TickTick’s published import guide gives Astrid, Wunderlist, and Toodledo as examples; it does not list Google Keep or say that a Keep Takeout archive is supported.

If the live importer does not offer a compatible option, use the archive as a reference and recreate only the notes and checklist items you want to manage as tasks.

3. Recreate the Keep items you want as tasks
Keep notes and TickTick tasks are not documented as having a direct field-by-field conversion. Choose the checklists and reminders that should become actionable tasks, then add them to TickTick manually if there is no supported import path. As you work, check each task’s title, list grouping, due date, and completion state against the source material.
Do not assume Keep-specific details will transfer automatically. The available documentation does not establish how labels, collaborators, attachments, colors, or archived status map to TickTick. Review items with attachments or collaborators individually and keep the Takeout archive available if you need to consult the original.

4. Look for migrated Keep reminders in Google Tasks and Calendar
Keep reminders are a separate check from exporting ordinary notes. Google says Keep reminders migrated to Google Tasks in the second half of 2025. They can be found in Google Tasks and Calendar, and Keep no longer sends mobile reminder notifications. Google also describes exceptions and edge cases, including organization settings and task limits, and notes that some reminder titles may be shortened after migration.

Before deciding that a reminder is missing, review Google Tasks and Calendar as well as your Keep notes. Use the current reminder entry as the reference when deciding whether to create a corresponding TickTick task.
