It comes with screws, nuts and four rubber bumpers. The key compatibility warning is explicit: the plate does not fit an Arduino Mega, and mounting-hole positions can vary between Arduino revisions.
What the mounting plate holds
Adafruit product 275 is an engraved, 3 mm-thick acrylic plate with mounting holes for an Arduino and space for a half-size breadboard. Its listed dimensions are 93.9 × 114.2 × 3 mm (3.7 × 4.5 × 0.13 in), and its listed weight is 38.7 g (1.36 oz). These are manufacturer specifications, not independent performance measurements. The breadboard is attached with its adhesive backing, while the Arduino is secured with screws and nuts. Four bumpers stick to the underside; Adafruit says they help keep the board from slipping on a worktable. The documentation does not quantify stability or claim impact protection.

Check Arduino compatibility before assembly
Adafruit states: “THIS DOES NOT FIT THE ARDUINO MEGA.” The product’s hole layout is not a universal fit for every Arduino board. The official guide also notes that preferred mounting holes can differ between Arduino revisions, so compare your board’s holes with the plate before fastening it. How to assemble the plate
- Prepare the plate. Peel off its protective backing. Clear small holes or cutouts if needed, and orient the printed outlines so the Arduino and breadboard positions are clear.
- Fit the Arduino fasteners. For the Uno R3 arrangement shown in Adafruit’s guide, insert the two screws through the plate from underneath and secure them with two nuts.
- Mount the Arduino. Place the board over the protruding bolts, then use the remaining two nuts to secure it. Do not force a screw into a hole that does not line up with your board.
- Attach the breadboard. Peel away the breadboard’s adhesive backing and stick it beside the Arduino in the outlined area.
- Apply the bumpers. Attach all four rubber bumpers to the underside of the plate.

What to verify if choosing another plate
Mounting plates that appear similar may differ in board compatibility, hole layout, breadboard size, dimensions and included hardware. One retailer describes a separate acrylic plate for an Arduino UNO and a 400-point breadboard, with different dimensions and eight bumpers; those differences mean it should not be treated as interchangeable with this Adafruit plate. - Confirm the exact Arduino model and mounting-hole positions.
- Check that the plate has room for the breadboard size you plan to use.
- Compare plate dimensions and material.
- Check whether screws, nuts, standoffs or feet are included, and how the breadboard is retained.
