You can monitor a website with Browse AI without writing code by creating a robot for the page, adding a monitor, choosing what counts as a change, and setting a schedule and notifications. Use Table Studio when the information is already visible; use Robot Studio when the robot must click, type, scroll, or log in first.
Choose how to build your Browse AI robot
Use Table Studio for information already visible on a page
- Open Browse AI and start a robot in Table Studio.
- Enter the page URL—the origin URL the robot should visit.
- Review the proposed data table and adjust the information you want captured.
- Save the robot. Browse AI says its first extraction runs after saving; you can then enable monitoring.
Browse AI’s Help Center describes this route as requiring “No coding, downloads, or browser extensions.” That is the vendor’s description of its setup process, not a guarantee that every site can be monitored successfully. Browse AI Help Center

Use Robot Studio for pages that require interaction
- Start in Robot Studio with the URL closest to the information you need.
- Choose the monitor-site-changes goal if monitoring is your purpose.
- Record the necessary actions, such as clicking a control, entering a search term, scrolling, or logging in.
- Inspect the captured output, then approve the robot.
This path is appropriate when the desired data is not visible until after an interaction. Whether a particular page works depends on the target site and the robot’s captured steps. See Browse AI’s robot training guidance.

Add a monitor and set its scope
You can choose to monitor site changes while building a robot. To add monitoring to an existing robot, open the robot’s dashboard, select Monitor, and create a monitor. The robot must be trained and approved for this route. Set the monitor’s origin URL and save it to activate the monitoring setup. Choose the URL and any input parameters
Use the origin URL for the page you want checked. If the robot supports input parameters, set them to cover different searches or filters—for example, separate product queries handled by the same robot. Those parameters let one robot check different inputs; they do not guarantee that every search result page will be captured correctly.
Set a useful schedule
Browse AI’s schedule guide describes hourly, daily, weekly, and custom schedules, with settings for days, time, and timezone. Choose a frequency that reflects how often the page changes and how quickly you need to know. More frequent checks can consume more credits, so avoid checking faster than the information need justifies. Choose what counts as a change

For screenshot monitoring, the setup guide lists small, medium, and large sensitivity settings. Select a threshold suited to how much visual movement should trigger a change. Text monitoring and screenshot monitoring measure different things; choose based on the signal you need, not simply on which one is easiest to configure. - In the robot dashboard, open Monitor and add or edit the monitor.
- Enable email notification for changes in captured text, if that is the alert you want.
- Save the monitor and verify the email address associated with notifications.
- If an expected alert does not arrive, check the spam folder and review the monitor history and failed runs.
Browse AI’s notification guidance documents email alerts and recommends verifying the email address and checking spam when notifications are missing. Troubleshoot missed or noisy changes
- The robot misses information behind a control: Rebuild or edit it in Robot Studio and record the click, typing, scroll, or login steps needed to expose the data.
- The monitor does not start: Confirm the robot is trained and approved, that the monitor is saved, and that the origin URL points to the intended page.
- You get irrelevant visual alerts: Adjust screenshot sensitivity. A visual monitor can react to appearance changes that do not alter the underlying text you care about.
- A text monitor misses a layout change: Text monitoring tracks captured text, lists, or HTML; use screenshot monitoring when visual appearance itself is the target.
- Alerts are absent: Check the notification setting, verify the email address, inspect spam, and review monitor history and failed runs.
- Checks use credits without adding value: Reduce the frequency to match the site’s update pattern. Browse AI’s schedule guide connects scheduling choices with credit use.
Monitoring behavior should be checked against the actual site: the documented modes do not establish that every page, login flow, or changing layout will work reliably.
