From there you can add a domain, choose how much to block, and later update or remove that exception. Vivaldi also provides a quicker control in the address bar for the site open in your current tab.
Add a site exception
Vivaldi’s documented route for creating a saved per-site rule is in the app’s blocker settings. The menu is also where you enter Settings on iOS, according to Vivaldi’s Tracker and Ad Blocker guide and iOS settings overview.

- Open the Vivaldi menu and tap Settings.
- Go to Ad and Tracker Blocker > Exceptions > Manage blocking level per site.
- Tap Add New Domain.
- Enter the website link and select a blocking level.
- Tap Add New Domain again to save.

A site exception sets that site to a different level from the global default. Vivaldi offers three levels:

| Block Trackers and Ads | Blocks both trackers and ads. |
Vivaldi says its tracker blocker uses lists of known tracker URLs, and that its ad blocker can block additional ads not already caught by tracker blocking. That is the vendor’s description of how the features work. Vivaldi recommends broadly blocking trackers, while suggesting users consider whether to enable ad blocking by default because ads support many websites.
Change or remove an existing exception
In Manage blocking level per site, tap the listed site to open its controls.

- To change the level: select No Blocking, Block Trackers, or Block Trackers and Ads, then tap Update.
- To delete the exception: tap the site and choose Remove.
If you no longer want a special override, Vivaldi also documents changing the site’s level back to the default setting.

When the site is already open, tap the Content Blocker shield on the left side of the address bar and select one of the three levels. This is a direct way to adjust the current site; use the Exceptions settings path when you want to add or manage saved per-site entries.

If the site still does not work correctly
Some website functionality may depend on elements blocked by Vivaldi’s tracker or ad blocker. Vivaldi recommends testing the affected page with blocking disabled for that site. Its iOS troubleshooting guide also notes that a change may require reloading the page or restarting the app.
- Open the affected page and tap the address-bar Content Blocker control.
- Select No Blocking for that site, then reload the page and test the feature again.
- If the change has not taken effect, restart Vivaldi and test once more.
If disabling blocking fixes the problem, return to the site’s controls and try a less permissive level, such as Block Trackers, to find a setting that works for you.
