It depends on what you mean by a “YouTube Live playlist.” To send viewers somewhere when your live stream ends, use YouTube Live Redirect. To play several clips in sequence within one continuous live broadcast, build a playlist with OBS’s VLC Video Source. If you are simply watching a regular YouTube playlist, turn on the player’s Autoplay setting.
Choose the control that matches what you want

These features do different jobs: Autoplay is a viewer playback setting, Live Redirect is a post-stream handoff, and an OBS playlist controls the media in the broadcast itself.

Send viewers to a Premiere or live stream when yours ends
YouTube Live Redirect is the relevant feature if you want to hand viewers off after ending your broadcast. YouTube describes the transition this way: “Once your live stream ends, autoplay will move your viewers to the Premiere or live stream of your choice.” (YouTube Help: How to use YouTube Live Redirect.)

Check eligibility and destination permission
- The creator sending viewers must have more than 1,000 subscribers.
- The sending channel must have no Community Guideline strikes.
- If the destination is another channel’s live stream, that channel must grant permission.
Live Redirect is for a transition after your stream ends; it is not a way to queue clips inside the broadcast you are currently producing. For the current setup and controls, follow YouTube’s Live Redirect instructions.

Play several clips in sequence inside one continuous OBS stream
For “play multiple videos one after another on an OBS YouTube live stream,” use OBS’s VLC Video Source. It supports multiple media items and playlist loop and shuffle controls. Install VLC on the computer running OBS first; see the OBS Media Sources guide.
Set up the playlist
- Install VLC on the computer that runs OBS.
- In OBS, add a VLC Video Source to the scene that will appear on stream.
- Add the media files in the order you want them to play.
- For a sequence that advances through the list once, leave playlist loop off and shuffle off. Loop repeats the playlist; shuffle changes the order.
- Start or preview the source and confirm the clips play in the intended order before going live.
This is a production-side playlist: OBS plays the media as part of your broadcast. It does not configure where viewers go after you end the live stream. OBS also documents a separate Media Source; use the VLC Video Source when you need a playlist of multiple items.

Check rights and YouTube policy before broadcasting
Only stream videos you have the rights and permissions to broadcast. A playlist feature does not grant permission to use music, video, or other copyrighted material. Review YouTube’s applicable copyright and live-stream rules before you air prerecorded clips.

Turn on Autoplay for a playlist you are watching
If you are a viewer who wants YouTube to play another related video after the current one ends, enable Autoplay in the player. On desktop, use the Autoplay switch at the bottom of the video player. YouTube’s controls and behavior can differ by device, and autoplay may stop in some circumstances, including account or inactivity-related cases. See YouTube Help: Autoplay videos.

Autoplay affects your viewing experience; it does not direct everyone watching a creator’s ended live stream to a selected destination. Use Live Redirect for that handoff.
Why an embedded player is not the same as Live Redirect
Embedded-player autoplay concerns starting playback when the player loads. It is not documented as a mechanism for sending viewers to another destination when a live stream ends. Google’s YouTube Embedded Players and Player Parameters explains player parameters, including autoplay and loop.
