Chrome Sync can sync extension-related information and settings, but Google’s documentation does not say it transfers screenshot files created by Nimbus Screenshot between Chrome profiles. To open a capture in another profile, save or upload it somewhere both profiles can access—such as Nimbus Note, Google Drive, Dropbox, or a shared local folder—and open that destination from the second profile.
Why Chrome Sync alone may not move your screenshots
Chrome treats extension information and the files an extension creates as different things. Google lists extension information, including settings, among the data associated with Chrome Sync, but that is not a promise that Nimbus Screenshot image files are synced. Google’s Chrome Sync documentation does not establish that Nimbus captures are included.

Syncing or installing an extension in another profile may let you use the extension there; it does not, by itself, put captures from the first profile into the second. The reliable approach is to use a save destination both profiles can reach.

Nimbus’s screenshot guide describes editing a capture, saving it to disk, sending it to Google Drive, or uploading it to Nimbus Note. For the Nimbus Note route, its described flow includes signing in, choosing a folder, and uploading.

Upload to Nimbus Note
- Capture and, if needed, edit the page using the Nimbus screenshot capture tool.
- Choose the Nimbus Note upload option. Sign in or create an account if prompted.
- Select the folder for the capture and upload it. For an organization capture, choose the appropriate organization and workspace where available.
- In the other Chrome profile, sign in to the same Nimbus account and navigate to that folder or workspace.
- Open the uploaded capture there. If it is missing, check that you used the same account and selected a folder the second profile can access.
Save to a shared local folder
- In Nimbus’s settings, configure the destination folder for screenshots saved to disk. Nimbus’s settings documentation describes a “Display Save As dialog” option that asks for a destination folder when saving to disk, and a filename-pattern setting for saved screenshots. Labels may differ in the current extension.
- Save the capture to a folder that is accessible to the other profile’s user. A folder on the same computer may work if both profiles use the same operating-system account; separate operating-system accounts may need a shared folder with suitable permissions.
- From the other profile, open the folder and confirm the image is readable. If you save repeated captures, use distinct filenames or a filename pattern that avoids overwriting earlier files.

Check that you have the screenshot tool, not just a similarly named clipper
Product naming can be confusing. The Chrome Web Store listing observed for this article is titled “Web Clipper (Nimbus)” and describes clipping web content into Nimbus Note. Nimbus’s screenshot help material describes a screenshot capture tool. If you cannot find the capture or upload controls below, verify that you installed the Nimbus screenshot extension or product you intend to use; installing a web clipper is not the same as restoring screenshot files.

Troubleshooting
- The extension appears in both profiles, but old captures do not. Extension availability and screenshot-file storage are separate. Open the destination where the original capture was saved, or upload/save it to a location both profiles can access.
- A Nimbus Note upload is absent in the second profile. Confirm the same Nimbus account is signed in, then check the folder, organization, or workspace selected during upload and its access permissions.
- A file saved to disk cannot be opened from the other profile. Check that the second profile’s operating-system user can reach the exact folder and has permission to read the file. Chrome profiles do not automatically make a private disk folder shared.
- You cannot find screenshot controls in the extension. Check the product identity: the current store listing cited here is “Web Clipper (Nimbus),” while Nimbus’s help material refers to Nimbus Screenshot. Product names and availability may change.
What Chrome Sync does cover
Google says signed-in users can access Chrome information, including extensions, on devices using the same account, and describes Chrome profiles as a way to keep work and personal information separate. That explains why extension setup and account context can differ, but it does not document synchronization of Nimbus-created image files. See Google’s Chrome Help page.
