What Private means—and when to use it
A Private playlist is visible only to you. It cannot be shared by URL and does not appear in YouTube search, related videos, recommendations, channel sections, or subscriber feeds. YouTube says private playlists may still be reviewed by its systems and human reviewers for ad suitability, copyright, and abuse prevention. YouTube Help (Hindi)

If you want other people to view the playlist through a link, choose Unlisted instead. Anyone with an unlisted playlist’s link can watch it and share that link onward. A Public playlist can be watched and shared by anyone, and may appear in YouTube discovery surfaces.

Change playlist privacy on a computer
Using YouTube Studio
- Sign in to YouTube Studio.
- In the left menu, select Content, then Playlists.
- Find the playlist and open Details.
- Under Visibility, select Private.
- Click Save.
Using YouTube
- Sign in to YouTube and open the You tab.
- Select Playlists.
- Under the playlist you want to change, select View full playlist.
- Below the playlist title, open the privacy dropdown and choose Private.

Change playlist privacy on Android
In the YouTube app
- Open the playlist in the YouTube app.
- Tap Edit.
- Choose Private in the privacy setting, then save.
In the YouTube Studio app
- Open YouTube Studio and go to Content > Playlists.
- Open the options for the playlist and tap Edit.
- Change its visibility to Private and save.

Private, Unlisted, or Public?

If you cannot find the privacy setting
- Make sure you own the playlist; you may not be able to edit another person’s playlist.
- Check whether the account is supervised. YouTube notes that this feature may not be available for supervised accounts.
- On a computer, look in the playlist’s Details page in Studio or the privacy dropdown below its title on YouTube. In the Android apps, open Edit.
For the Hindi-language desktop directions, YouTube labels the help topic “प्लेलिस्ट की निजता सेटिंग बदलना” (“Change playlist privacy settings”), the private option “निजी,” and the visibility control “किसको दिखे.”
