Connect OBS to an encoder stream in YouTube Studio with its stream URL and key, test the preview and audio, then go live. Use only videos and music you have the rights to livestream and archive.
Before you start: check eligibility and permissions
Confirm your channel can livestream
YouTube Help says a channel must be verified and have no live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days. It also states that livestreamers must be at least 16 years old. First-time activation can take up to 24 hours, so enable live streaming well before your planned start. Requirements and controls can change; check the current status in YouTube Studio. See YouTube’s getting-started guidance.

Make sure you can rebroadcast the material
A video being viewable on YouTube does not grant permission to rebroadcast it. If the Hindi study videos, images, or music belong to someone else, get permission that covers livestreaming and any resulting archive. YouTube’s livestream terms and conditions place responsibility on the content provider to have the necessary rights, including applicable music rights, and to follow Community Guidelines and other applicable rules.

One video: Media Source with Loop
Use this when you want one local file to repeat. OBS Project’s Media Sources documentation (dated January 11, 2022) describes the Loop control as replaying the file after playback completes.

- Kenna James:: Wild 18+ #74 with Alexa Grace & Carmella Bing 2026 + DVD
- 2026 Adult magazine
- Open OBS Studio and select or create the scene for your broadcast.
- In the Sources panel, select + and add Media Source.
- Name the source, choose the local video file, and enable Loop in its properties.
- Confirm the video fits the canvas and that its audio plays at a suitable level. If you replace or move the local file later, check the source path again.
Several videos: VLC Video with Loop Playlist
Use VLC Video when you want a sequence of files. OBS documents that VLC must be installed for this source type to appear.
- Install VLC if it is not already installed, then reopen OBS if necessary.
- In the scene’s Sources panel, select + and add VLC Video.
- Add the Hindi study video files to the playlist in the order you want them to play.
- Enable Loop Playlist, then check that the files play in the intended order and that each has suitable audio.
Keep the source files accessible on the computer running OBS. For a playlist, test the transition from the final item back to the first before going public.

Create a YouTube encoder stream and connect OBS
- In YouTube Studio, open Go Live and create or select an encoder stream in Live Control Room. For a scheduled stream, configure the scheduled event there.
- Copy the stream URL and stream key shown in Live Control Room.
- In OBS, open Settings > Stream, select YouTube as the service if offered, and enter the stream details. If OBS asks for a server and key separately, use the YouTube stream URL as the server and the YouTube stream key as the key.
- Keep the stream key private: YouTube describes it as the credential that lets the encoder send a stream to your channel. Reset it in YouTube Studio if you think it has been exposed. See YouTube’s live stream settings guidance.
- Start streaming from OBS. For a scheduled broadcast, wait for the encoder preview in Live Control Room and click Go Live when YouTube prompts you.
YouTube’s encoder setup explains: “You’ll create a stream key in YouTube, and then enter it into your encoder.” The exact controls can change, so follow the labels shown in your current Studio and OBS versions. For the full setup, see Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder.
Set encoder quality and test before announcing
Set the OBS output to a quality your computer and upload connection can sustain. YouTube recommends CBR and a 2-second keyframe frequency, with the keyframe interval not exceeding 4 seconds. Choose resolution and bitrate based on a speed test and available upload bandwidth rather than assuming that a high resolution will be stable. YouTube’s encoder settings guidance provides current recommendations for resolution and bitrate.

- Check the Live Control Room preview for picture, motion, and audio before sharing the stream.
- Listen for clear audio and make sure the loop does not introduce unexpected silence, abrupt transitions, or excessive volume.
- Monitor stream health in Live Control Room after going live.
- Open the viewer-facing watch page and check playback on a phone as well as the computer you used to configure the stream.
YouTube’s live streaming tips recommend testing and monitoring the stream rather than relying only on the encoder’s local preview.
Plan stream boundaries and archives
YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. That statement does not guarantee an unattended broadcast will run without interruption, nor does it establish the same archive behavior for longer streams. If you need a replay, plan deliberate stream boundaries and check the current Live Control Room behavior rather than treating an indefinite loop as a guaranteed archive. YouTube’s encoder instructions cover ending a stream and the under-12-hour archive condition at Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder.

Troubleshooting common loop problems
- VLC Video is missing in OBS: OBS requires VLC for this source. Install VLC and restart OBS, then check the Sources panel again.
- The video plays once and stops: Open the Media Source properties and enable Loop. For a playlist, enable Loop Playlist on the VLC Video source.
- The playlist does not play in the expected order: Reorder the files in the VLC playlist, then test the end-to-start transition before streaming.
- YouTube does not show an encoder preview: Check that OBS is streaming to the correct YouTube stream URL and that the matching stream key is current. Keep the key private; reset it if compromised.
- Playback stutters or stream health is poor: Test upload speed, lower the OBS resolution or bitrate to a sustainable level, and retain CBR with YouTube’s recommended 2-second keyframe interval (no more than 4 seconds).
- There is no sound or the level is unsuitable: Check the media file’s audio, OBS source and mixer levels, and Live Control Room preview before inviting viewers.
- The stream or archive ends earlier than expected: Do not assume an indefinite broadcast or an archive beyond YouTube’s stated under-12-hour condition. Review current Studio behavior and schedule a deliberate boundary.
