What you are installing
Medieval MC [FABRIC] MMC1 is LunaPixelStudios’ Fabric-based modpack for Minecraft 1.19.2. The project README identifies MMC1 as “FABRIC 1.19.2.” The CurseForge files page lists the client as 1.19.2 v24, released November 21, 2023, and separately lists MMC1 FABRIC 1.19.2 Server Pack v24. Use that server-pack file rather than a client archive or a pack for another Minecraft version.
CurseForge displayed 4,391,796 downloads in 2026 when this information was collected. That number is a changing page metric, not a permanent measure of popularity. LunaPixelStudios describes MMC1 as an adventure/RPG, exploration, combat/PvP, magic, and quest pack with 150+ quests, 30+ origins, six new dimensions, and 330+ mods. Those feature totals are the publisher’s claims, not an independent audit of the pack.

The pack is not an official Minecraft product and is not approved by or associated with Mojang or Microsoft. You need Minecraft: Java Edition, not Bedrock Edition.
Before you download anything
Java requirement
Install Java 17 or a newer compatible Java runtime and make sure the command-line launcher can find it. Minecraft’s Java Edition server documentation requires a compatible Java runtime, while Mojang’s Java 1.18 release notes state that custom and third-party setups need Java 17 or above. A Mojang issue record also documents Java 17 as the minimum for 1.19.2.

Check the active runtime before starting the server:
java -versionThe output should report version 17 or higher. If Windows, macOS, or Linux has several Java installations, the version shown by this command is the one the launch script will normally use. Correct the system PATH or call the intended Java executable explicitly if an older version appears.
A dedicated server location
Create a folder used only by this server, such as MedievalMC-MMC1-Server. Do not place the files inside the client instance’s folder. Keep a separate backup location for the world, server.properties, and configuration files. A clean directory prevents old mods, libraries, or generated files from another pack from being loaded accidentally.
The exact archive
Download MMC1 FABRIC 1.19.2 Server Pack v24 from the MMC1 files listing. Do not substitute the Forge MMC3 branch, a Fabric client download, a different MMC1 release, or a pack for another Minecraft version. Server and client files are not interchangeable: the server pack contains the server-side layout, mods, and configuration expected by this release.

Install the MMC1 Fabric server
1. Extract the server pack
- Make the empty server directory.
- Extract the downloaded v24 server archive directly into that directory.
- Confirm that the launcher, libraries, mods, configuration files, and other supplied files are together in the extracted tree.
- If extraction created an extra top-level folder, open it and use the folder that actually contains the launch files as the server directory.
Do not copy individual mods from another installation to “complete” the pack. A mod that appears compatible by name can still require a different dependency or configuration.
2. Start the supplied Fabric launcher
Run the launch script or Fabric server jar included by the archive. The pack may instead direct you to a Fabric installer; in that case, use the Fabric server launcher for Minecraft 1.19.2 and keep the loader and mod files supplied by MMC1 together. Fabric provides an official server-download route, but the pack’s supplied files should remain the authority for this particular v24 installation.
The first run may create folders and stop before the server is usable. That is expected when the EULA file has not yet been accepted.
3. Accept the EULA
Find eula.txt in the server directory. Open it in a plain-text editor, change:

eula=trueSave the file, then start the same launcher again. Minecraft’s official Java server guide documents this first-run sequence. You must accept the EULA before the server will finish starting.
4. Configure server.properties
After the first launch, open server.properties with the server stopped. Important entries include:

- motd: the name or message players see in the multiplayer list.
- difficulty: the world difficulty.
- view-distance: how much terrain the server sends to players.
- white-list: whether only approved player names may join.
- server-port: the TCP port used by the server; the default is 25565.
- server-ip: normally leave this blank. Set it only when you have a specific address-binding requirement.
- level-seed: the seed for a newly generated world, if you want a particular seed.
The official server guide identifies server.properties as the location for settings such as the MOTD and seed. Save a copy of the original file before making extensive changes so you can restore known-good values.
5. Start until the console says Done
Launch the server and watch the console. Wait for the normal “Done” message before connecting. The first startup can take longer while mods create configuration files and world data. Use the console command below to stop cleanly:

Create a new world or migrate an existing one
New world
For a clean MMC1 installation, stop after the first successful startup, review the generated settings, and start again. The server will generate a new world using the pack’s dimensions, biomes, structures, and other world-generation mods. If you want a fixed seed, set level-seed before that world is created; changing it after generation does not rebuild an existing world.
Copy an existing world
- Stop the server with
stop. - Back up the current world and configuration directories.
- Copy the existing world folder into the server directory, or replace the newly generated world with the backup you intend to use.
- Check the world folder name against the
level-namevalue inserver.properties. - Start the server and inspect the console for missing-mod or registry errors before allowing players to connect.
A world created with a different mod list, Minecraft version, or loader can contain blocks and entities that MMC1 cannot resolve. Keep the original backup untouched so you can recover if the migration fails.
Make the server reachable
Test on the same computer
Start the server, launch the matching client, choose Multiplayer, and connect to localhost. This tests the Java process and mod handshake without involving a router or public address.

Connect from another device on your LAN
Find the host computer’s private network address and enter that address in the client’s direct-connect screen. Both devices must be on the same reachable network. Permit Java through the host operating system’s firewall when prompted, or create an inbound rule for the configured server port.
Let players join over the internet
- Confirm the value of
server-portinserver.properties. The default is 25565. - Allow the Java server through the host firewall for that port.
- On the router, forward the same external port to the host computer’s private address and the server port.
- Restart the server after changing the port or binding settings.
- Give trusted players your public address and port, for example
example-address:25565when using the default.
Minecraft’s official guide explains the firewall and port-forwarding work required for an internet server. A router may use different labels such as Port Forwarding, Virtual Server, or NAT. Reserve the host computer’s private address if your router supports that feature; otherwise, a changed private address can make an existing forwarding rule point at the wrong device.
Do not publish a home public IP broadly. Share it only with people you trust, and remember that a public server exposes your connection to unsolicited traffic. If you do not want to administer a router and firewall, a managed Minecraft host that explicitly supports Fabric 1.19.2 and this MMC1 server pack is an alternative. Confirm the exact loader, version, file-upload access, and backup features with that provider before paying; host-specific prices, RAM limits, and player guarantees are not established here.

Modded servers require more than the same Minecraft number. Before troubleshooting a connection, verify every item below for every player:
- Minecraft: Java Edition 1.19.2 is selected.
- The Fabric loader is used, not Forge.
- The client is the Medieval MC MMC1 release corresponding to the server pack; for the cited installation, that is v24.
- The client has the same mod and configuration set expected by the server pack.
- No files from the Forge MMC3 branch, another Minecraft version, or another MMC1 release have been added.
A player can often reach the login screen with an apparently similar instance and still fail during the mod handshake. Matching the complete pack release is more reliable than comparing a few visible mod names.
Choosing local self-hosting or managed hosting
Both approaches can run the same pack, but they move different responsibilities to you or to a provider.

Choose self-hosting when you want unrestricted access to files and are comfortable with networking. Choose managed hosting when avoiding router administration and maintaining backups is worth a recurring charge, provided the host confirms this exact Fabric 1.19.2 pack.

Troubleshoot the common failures
UnsupportedClassVersionError
This error means the Java runtime is too old for a class the server is trying to load. Run java -version in the same environment used by the launch script and install or select Java 17 or newer. Recheck the PATH if the command still reports an older release.
Missing or mismatched mods
Compare the server archive and every player’s client against the MMC1 Fabric 1.19.2 v24 release. Remove files copied from Forge MMC3, another Minecraft version, or another pack revision. Do not delete a mod simply because removing it makes the crash disappear; confirm the pack’s dependency requirements first.
The server starts, but friends cannot join
- Test
localhoston the host to separate server problems from networking problems. - For LAN players, verify the private address and Java firewall permission.
- For internet players, check the public address, router forwarding destination, firewall rule, and that the forwarded port equals
server-port. - Ask a player to include the port when it is not 25565.
World corruption or lost progress after a change
Stop with stop, restore the last known-good world backup, and undo the mod or configuration change. Keep dated copies before updating the pack, changing world-generation mods, or migrating a world. Never test an uncertain update only on the sole copy of a long-running world.
Secure-chat or social-screen problems
Mojang’s official Minecraft 1.19.2 release notes record fixes for a critical secure-chat connectivity issue and a crash involving the social-interactions screen. Keep the server and clients on the intended 1.19.2 release and matching MMC1 files rather than mixing later or earlier game versions while diagnosing those symptoms.
Operational checklist
- Java 17 or newer reports from
java -version. - The extracted folder contains only the MMC1 Fabric 1.19.2 v24 server files.
- The first launch has changed
eula=falsetoeula=true. server.propertieshas the intended MOTD, difficulty, view distance, whitelist, seed, and port;server-ipis blank unless a binding is required.- The console reaches “Done.”
- The host can connect through

- A clean backup exists before each world, mod, or configuration change.
Once these checks pass, you have a reproducible MMC1 Fabric 1.19.2 server rather than a partially assembled mod folder. Keep the original v24 archive and your backups so the installation can be rebuilt after a failed update or damaged world.
