Then use a Black Forge with 10 Yggdrasil Wood, 10 Refined Eitr, 4 Mandibles, and 1 Hook. Hooks are found in Dvergr treasure chests in the Mistlands, especially inside Infested Mines.

Where to find each ingredient
Hook
Search Dvergr treasure chests in Mistlands Infested Mines. Some mines have hidden stone doors marked with blue glyphs, so check side areas rather than only the obvious rooms. Chests in Dvergr guard towers and on rock spires are also listed as possible Hook locations by the Valheim item database.
Yggdrasil Wood
Chop Yggdrasil shoots in the Mistlands. The current Valheim guide specifies a black metal axe for harvesting them.

How to use the Grappling Hook
Equip it, start a shot with left-click, and release with right-click; use Space to reel along the chain, according to the current guide and PC Gamer. The shot has a short wind-up, so time it before exposing yourself to danger. Controls may differ by platform or custom key bindings; check the in-game controls if these inputs do not work.
Throwing the hook does not drain its durability bar, but the item can still take damage in the world; it is not indestructible. The database entry verified for Valheim 1.0 lists 300 durability. A Grappling Hook also does not prevent fall damage, so plan your landing rather than relying on the chain to protect you.
