You can run a Cobblemon server on the deliberately pinned combination of Minecraft: Java Edition 1.19.2, Fabric, Cobblemon v1.3.2, Fabric API 0.76.0+1.19.2, Architectury API 6.5.85+fabric, and Java 17. Install Fabric in a clean server directory, start it once to create the server files, place the three matching mod jars in mods, then give every player an identical Java/Fabric/Cobblemon installation.
Godlike.Host offers modded Minecraft server hosting with one-click modpacks, a built-in mod installer and up to three free backups a day.
This is a legacy, version-pinned route. Cobblemon’s current project listings also identify Minecraft 1.21.1 as the newest compatibility while retaining 1.19.2. Do not copy files from a newer guide into this setup: a newer Minecraft version, loader, Cobblemon build, or dependency can make the server and clients incompatible.

What this server combination includes
The target is a Minecraft Java Edition 1.19.2 server using Fabric rather than Forge or NeoForge. Cobblemon v1.3.2 is the Cobblemon release that targets this Minecraft version on Fabric and supports both client and server environments. Its listed required content includes two additional Fabric-compatible libraries.
| Component | Exact pinned value | Where it is used |
|---|---|---|
| Minecraft | Java Edition 1.19.2 | Server and every connecting client |
| Java | 64-bit Java 17 | Server runtime; clients should also use a compatible Java installation through their launcher |
| Mod loader | Fabric Loader compatible with Minecraft 1.19.2 | Server and clients |
| Cobblemon | v1.3.2, Fabric build | Server and clients |
| Fabric API | 0.76.0+1.19.2 | Required dependency in the server and matching client mod sets |
| Architectury API | 6.5.85+fabric | Required dependency in the server and matching client mod sets |
Do not treat files marked 1.19.x as universally interchangeable. A mod compiled for another Minecraft patch, loader, or dependency revision may fail even when its name looks similar.

Why pin every component?
A modded server is a chain: Minecraft loads Fabric, Fabric loads Cobblemon, and Cobblemon expects the dependency versions listed for its release. Changing one link can produce an immediate startup failure or a client/server mismatch. Pinning the complete set gives every player one reproducible target instead of asking each person to guess which “latest” file is appropriate.
Write the six values from the table into a small text file next to the server. Include the exact jar filenames after downloading them. That record is useful when a launcher offers an automatic update or when a player sends you a screenshot of a different version.

Confirm the edition
Cobblemon is available only on Minecraft: Java Edition. Bedrock Edition, consoles, and mobile clients are outside the supported edition, so a normal Bedrock client cannot join this Fabric server. Every player needs the Java PC version and a launcher profile that can run 1.19.2 with Fabric.
Choose where the server will run
You have two practical deployment models:
| Consideration | Run it on your own PC | Use a managed or rented server |
|---|---|---|
| Control | Full control of files, Java arguments, worlds, and mods | Control depends on the host’s panel and plan |
| Availability | Online only while the computer and server process are running | Designed for longer availability without leaving your personal PC on |
| Setup effort | You install Java and Fabric, maintain the directory, and handle network configuration | The provider supplies a machine or panel, but you still install or select the correct Fabric and Cobblemon files |
| Cost | No separate hosting subscription, although electricity and an adequate connection still matter | Recurring cost varies by provider, region, memory, and CPU allocation; no current price is established here |
| Memory and CPU | Uses capacity you already have and competes with other programs | Depends on the purchased allocation; check the plan’s actual limits |
| Backups | Your responsibility unless you create an automated backup system | Check whether backups are included, how often they run, and how restoration works |
| Network configuration | You may need firewall and router configuration so outside players can reach the server | The host normally supplies a public endpoint, but panel and firewall rules still need checking |
Cobblemon states that it does not operate an official server. Self-hosting and using a third-party Minecraft host are therefore separate choices; neither should be presented as an official Cobblemon service.
What you need ready
- A Java Edition 1.19.2 license for every player who will join.
- A 64-bit operating system and Java 17 on the server machine.
- A clean, writable directory with enough storage for Minecraft, the mod files, generated world, logs, and backups.
- Permission to run Java and allow the server process through the machine’s firewall.
- A way to distribute the same mod versions to every player without silently replacing them with newer builds.
These are prerequisites rather than performance promises. The documented launch example uses a 2 GB maximum heap, but actual capacity depends on the world, number of players, other mods, and what else is running on the machine.
Step 1: Install and verify Java 17
Install a 64-bit Java 17 runtime on the machine that will run the server. Fabric’s guidance recommends Java 17 for Minecraft 1.17 through 1.20.4, which includes 1.19.2.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
- Install Java 17 from a reputable distribution for your operating system.
- Open a terminal, Command Prompt, or PowerShell window.
- Run
java -version. - Confirm that the reported major version is 17 and that the executable is the 64-bit installation you intend to use.
If the command reports another major version, correct the system path or use the full path to the Java 17 executable when launching the server. A Java error later in startup is often caused by the process selecting a different runtime than the one you just installed.
Check the command context, not just the installer
Installing a second Java version does not automatically change the runtime used by an existing script. Run java -version from the same terminal, account, and directory context that will launch the server. If you use a generated script, inspect which java command it calls. On a machine with multiple installations, an explicit path to the Java 17 executable avoids ambiguity.
Step 2: Create a clean Fabric 1.19.2 server
Use Fabric’s official Minecraft Server download route and select Minecraft 1.19.2 with a compatible Fabric Loader. Keep this installation in a new directory rather than mixing it with another Minecraft server.

Simple launcher route
- Download the executable Fabric Server Launcher for the 1.19.2 selection.
- Move the launcher file into the empty server directory.
- Open a terminal in that directory.
- Run the filename-specific command supplied by Fabric. Its documented pattern is
java -Xmx2G -jar <fabric server launcher jar file name> nogui.
Replace the angle-bracket text with the launcher’s actual filename. The launcher downloads the required Minecraft and Fabric Loader files before starting, so the first run can take longer than later launches.

Installer and server-tab route
Alternatively, run the Fabric installer, open its Server tab, choose Minecraft 1.19.2 and the compatible loader, select the server directory, and let it generate the server files. This route can also create start scripts. Use the generated start.bat on Windows or start.sh on a Unix-like system when those files are provided.
Complete the first startup
Allow the launcher to finish creating its files. If startup pauses for Minecraft’s EULA, read the EULA file in the server directory and set its acceptance value as instructed before launching again. Stop the process cleanly after the initial file generation so you can add the mods before inviting players.
Keep the directory dedicated
Do not place unrelated server jars, old loader installers, or another world in the same directory. A dedicated folder makes it clear which mods, configuration files, logs, and world belong to this pinned instance. If you later test a newer Cobblemon release, create a second directory instead of overwriting this one.
Step 3: Add the exact server mods
Create or open the server’s mods folder and place these three jars inside it:
- The Cobblemon v1.3.2 Fabric jar for Minecraft 1.19.2.
- The Fabric API 0.76.0+1.19.2 jar.
- The Architectury API 6.5.85+fabric jar.
Download the Fabric versions, not Forge or NeoForge builds. Keep one copy of each required file in the folder and remove older or duplicate versions. A filename that contains a newer Minecraft number is not a safe substitute simply because it is also labeled Fabric.
Why dependency matching matters
Cobblemon v1.3.2 declares the Fabric API and Architectury API versions above as required content. Fabric loads mods against the Minecraft and loader versions they were built for; a mismatch can produce a missing-dependency, incompatible-mod, or loader error before the world opens.
Audit the folder before launching
Sort the mods directory by name and check for duplicate API jars, Forge or NeoForge labels, and files containing 1.20 or 1.21 instead of 1.19.2. The baseline should contain the Cobblemon Fabric jar plus the two required libraries. Additional mods are optional and outside this minimal compatibility test; add them only after the three-file setup starts successfully.
Step 4: Start and check the server
- Launch with the generated script, or rerun the filename-specific Java command from the server directory.
- Watch the console until Fabric and Cobblemon finish loading without an error.
- Check that the
modsdirectory contains the Cobblemon, Fabric API, and Architectury jars you selected for 1.19.2. - Leave the server on the same pinned versions while you prepare clients.
The example command allocates a maximum heap of 2 GB through -Xmx2G. That value is the documented starting pattern, not a universal performance guarantee. If you change the memory argument, leave enough RAM for the operating system and any other services on the machine; increasing it cannot compensate for an incompatible mod set.

Test locally first
Before troubleshooting router access, connect from the server computer or the same local network with one correctly configured Java client. A local test separates mod and loader problems from firewall, address, or hosting problems. Once the local connection works, test one remote player before sharing the endpoint with the whole group.
Step 5: Prepare each player’s client
Every player must reproduce the server’s compatibility set in the launcher:
- Install or select Minecraft Java Edition 1.19.2.
- Install Fabric Loader for Minecraft 1.19.2.
- Install the Cobblemon v1.3.2 Fabric build.
- Install Fabric API 0.76.0+1.19.2 and Architectury API 6.5.85+fabric.
- Launch that Fabric profile once so the client creates its files, then connect using the server address.
Client and server versions should match for Minecraft, Fabric, Cobblemon, and both listed dependencies. A player using Bedrock Edition cannot satisfy these requirements, and a client with a newer Cobblemon or Minecraft profile should be switched back to the pinned 1.19.2 profile before connecting.
Make the client profile obvious
Name the launcher profile something explicit such as “Cobblemon 1.19.2 Fabric.” Keep its game directory separate from a newer profile when the launcher supports that option. This prevents an automatic update or a different profile from placing unrelated jars in the same client mods folder.

Local network play
For players on the same local network, give them the server computer’s local address and ensure the operating system firewall allows the Java server process. Test with one client before distributing the address to the whole group.
Players outside your network
Remote players need a reachable public endpoint. On a self-hosted PC this normally involves firewall and router configuration, while a rented server generally provides an address through its control panel. Do not publish an address until you have confirmed that only the intended server is exposed and that your home network’s security rules are appropriate.
Managed hosting
A managed host can remove the need to keep your own PC online and can simplify network reachability, but it does not remove version-management work. Select a Minecraft 1.19.2 Fabric environment, upload or install the exact Cobblemon v1.3.2, Fabric API 0.76.0+1.19.2, and Architectury API 6.5.85+fabric files, and verify the host’s backup and resource policies before moving a world.
How to choose between the two
Self-hosting is the better fit when you want direct access to Java arguments, worlds, logs, and every mod file and can keep the machine and network available. A managed or rented server is more convenient when the group needs an endpoint that does not depend on your personal computer being switched on. Compare the provider’s actual CPU and memory allocation, backup schedule, restoration process, panel access, and version support rather than relying on a generic “Minecraft hosting” label.
Troubleshooting the most common failures
Java version or unsupported-class error
Run java -version in the same shell or script context used to start the server. If it is not Java 17, fix the path or edit the launcher script to point to the 64-bit Java 17 executable. Installing Java 17 without changing the runtime selected by the server process does not solve the problem.

Missing Fabric API or Architectury dependency
Compare the server’s mods folder with the pinned list: Fabric API 0.76.0+1.19.2 and Architectury API 6.5.85+fabric, alongside Cobblemon v1.3.2. Remove files for another loader or Minecraft release and restart after correcting the folder.
Incompatible mod or loader message
Re-download each file with the download page filtered for Minecraft 1.19.2 and Fabric. Fabric’s version-matching guidance is important in the 1.19.x line: similar names do not make builds interchangeable. Check both the Minecraft version embedded in the filename and the loader label.
Server starts but a client cannot connect
- Confirm the client is Minecraft Java Edition, not Bedrock.
- Compare Minecraft 1.19.2, Fabric Loader, Cobblemon v1.3.2, Fabric API 0.76.0+1.19.2, and Architectury API 6.5.85+fabric on both sides.
- Remove duplicate or newer jars from the client’s
modsfolder. - Check the address, firewall, and router or host networking if the versions match but the connection never reaches the server.
A newer tutorial’s files were already installed
Stop the server and re-pin every component rather than replacing only Cobblemon. The target is the complete 1.19.2 set: Minecraft, Fabric, Java 17, Cobblemon v1.3.2, Fabric API 0.76.0+1.19.2, and Architectury API 6.5.85+fabric. Keep a backup of the world before changing versions.
The server crashes after adding a mod
Remove the last-added jar, start once, and read the first clear error in the console rather than the final cascade of messages. Re-add only files confirmed for 1.19.2 Fabric. If the required three-file set works before another mod is added, that extra mod is outside this pinned baseline and must be checked separately.
The launcher downloads files every time
The first launcher run normally downloads missing Minecraft and Fabric files. Repeated downloads or a failure to create files can indicate that the directory is not writable, the process is being started from a different folder, or a firewall is blocking access. Confirm the launcher filename and working directory before changing versions.

Back up before changes
Stop the server cleanly before copying the world and configuration directories. Keep at least one backup from before any loader, Cobblemon, dependency, or Java change, and label backups with the version set they belong to.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsDo not update one side first
When you eventually test a different Minecraft or Cobblemon release, make a separate server directory and a separate client profile. Test the complete combination together before moving the shared world. Do not update the live server while players are still using the old profile.
Keep a version record
Record the Minecraft version, Fabric Loader version, Java major version, Cobblemon build, and dependency filenames beside the server files. This makes it possible to restore a working setup after an accidental download of a newer jar.
Separate testing from the live world
Copy the world to a test directory before experimenting with another release. Let players continue using the known-good 1.19.2 instance while you verify the complete alternative set. If the test fails, the live directory and its backups remain untouched.

Frequently Asked Questions
What Java version does a Cobblemon 1.19.2 Fabric server need?
Use a 64-bit Java 17 runtime. Fabric recommends Java 17 for Minecraft 1.17–1.20.4, which includes 1.19.2. Verify the runtime with java -version in the same shell or script context that starts the server.

For this pinned setup, use the Cobblemon v1.3.2 Fabric jar for Minecraft 1.19.2, Fabric API 0.76.0+1.19.2, and Architectury API 6.5.85+fabric. Remove duplicate, Forge, NeoForge, and newer-version jars.
Can Bedrock players join a Cobblemon Fabric server?
No. Cobblemon is available only on Minecraft: Java Edition. Bedrock, console, and mobile clients are not supported by this setup.
Can I host Cobblemon without running the server on my own PC?
Yes. A managed or rented Minecraft server is an alternative to self-hosting. It can keep the endpoint available without your personal computer running, but you still need to select Fabric 1.19.2 and install the exact Cobblemon and dependency versions. Check the provider’s resources, backups, and restoration policy.
Does Cobblemon provide an official server?
No. Cobblemon states that it does not have an official server. A self-hosted instance and a third-party host are independent services, not official Cobblemon infrastructure.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
What command starts the Fabric server?
Use the filename-specific command supplied by Fabric. The documented pattern is java -Xmx2G -jar <fabric server launcher jar file name> nogui. Replace the placeholder with the actual launcher filename in your server directory.
Why does a client with the right Minecraft version still fail to connect?
Check every part of the compatibility set: Java Edition 1.19.2, Fabric Loader, Cobblemon v1.3.2, Fabric API 0.76.0+1.19.2, and Architectury API 6.5.85+fabric. Then remove duplicate or newer client jars and check the server address, firewall, and router or host networking.
Should I use the newest Cobblemon release instead?
Only if you are intentionally building a different version set. This guide is pinned to 1.19.2 and Cobblemon v1.3.2. The project currently lists Minecraft 1.21.1 as its newest compatibility, so newer files must be tested in a separate server and client profile rather than mixed into this one.
The Bottom Line
A dependable Cobblemon 1.19.2 server comes from consistency: Java 17, Fabric for Minecraft 1.19.2, Cobblemon v1.3.2, Fabric API 0.76.0+1.19.2, and Architectury API 6.5.85+fabric must stay aligned on the server and every client. Use a clean directory, start Fabric once, add only the matching jars, test locally, and keep backups before any change. Self-hosting gives maximum control; a third-party host can improve availability, but neither option is an official Cobblemon server.
