To loop one regional-language video in XSplit Broadcaster, add it to a scene with Add Source > Video File, then right-click the source and inspect its media properties for Playback controls. XSplit’s reviewed documentation does not identify a specific loop switch for a single Video File source. For a sequence of clips, use a Video Playlist: XSplit documents continuous playback and looping effects for playlist sources.
The language is part of the video’s content, not a special XSplit mode. Check that the file has the audio you want, preview the scene, and verify the result before sending it to YouTube Live.

Choose the right source for one clip or several
| What you want to play | XSplit source | What the documentation establishes |
|---|---|---|
| One local video | Video File | You can add a local file and use Playback controls in its source properties. The reviewed source documentation does not name a single-file loop control. |
| A sequence of videos | Video Playlist | XSplit describes continuous playback for playlists and looping effects for playlist sources. |
If you need clearly documented continuous playback across multiple clips, start with Video Playlist. If you need to repeat one file, inspect the Playback settings in your installed version; do not assume a particular control label or location based on documentation that does not specify it.
Add and check a single video
- Open the scene you want to use in XSplit Broadcaster.
- Select Add Source > Video File, browse to the video on your computer, select it, and open it.
- Right-click the video source and open its media properties. Use the available Playback controls to set playback behavior. The reviewed XSplit guidance does not provide an exact single-file repeat toggle name or menu path.
- Preview the scene. Confirm that the correct regional-language audio is audible and that the video plays as expected.
XSplit’s media-source documentation covers local files and Playback controls, but it does not establish language-track selection, automatic language detection, or subtitle support. If a file contains multiple audio tracks, verify the track in the media or playback workflow you are using rather than assuming XSplit will choose the desired language automatically.

Optional captions: check language support before relying on them
XSplit Broadcaster version 4.6.2605.2109 release notes for the May 2026 release describe Live Captions tested with YouTube Live. The instructions say to enable Send Caption in Live Captions and Closed Captions in YouTube’s Live pre-stream dialog. The notes do not establish support for every regional language or provide a supported-language list, so test captions with your intended audio before depending on them. See XSplit’s May 2026 release notes, updated August 12, 2026.

Troubleshoot playback before going live
- The clip plays once and stops: For a Video File source, inspect the Playback controls in its media properties. XSplit’s reviewed documentation does not specify a universal single-file loop switch. For clearly documented continuous playback, try a Video Playlist and inspect its looping behavior.
- The next clip does not play as expected: Review the playlist order and available playback or looping options, then preview the full sequence. The documented guidance does not enumerate every option for every installed version.
- You hear the wrong language or no expected language: Confirm the local file itself contains the intended audio and check it in the scene preview. The cited XSplit guidance does not confirm automatic regional-language selection or audio-track switching.
- Captions do not appear: Check that Send Caption is enabled in Live Captions and Closed Captions is enabled in the YouTube Live pre-stream dialog. The release notes do not establish that all regional languages are supported.
- The YouTube broadcast cannot start: Check your channel’s current live-stream eligibility and event settings in YouTube Studio, then review XSplit’s YouTube pre-stream details before retrying.
