For one cartoon, use YouTube’s built-in Loop command; for a chosen run of cartoons, put them in a playlist and loop that. Then adjust Windows’ plugged-in sleep settings so the PC stays awake. This can keep playback going for long stretches, but it cannot guarantee unattended, all-day playback: YouTube may ask whether anyone is still watching.
Choose what should repeat
Repeat one cartoon
Open the cartoon’s YouTube watch page on the Windows PC. YouTube’s desktop player has a built-in Loop control, so you do not need a separate looping app for this basic setup.

Cycle through selected cartoons
Create a playlist and add the cartoons you want in the order you want them to play. When creating it, choose a privacy setting that suits you; YouTube offers Private as an option. A playlist is the straightforward choice when you want a curated sequence rather than one video repeating.

Turn on YouTube looping
- For one video: right-click inside the video player and select Loop.
- For a playlist: open a video from the playlist, expand the playlist beside the player, and select its Loop control.
- Check that the Loop control is active before leaving playback running.
Use Autoplay only if you are happy for YouTube to choose a related next video. Autoplay is different from looping a specific video or a playlist, and its setting is device-specific, so check it in the player on this PC.

Keep Windows awake while the PC is plugged in
Windows 11
- Open Start > Settings > System > Power & battery > Screen, sleep, & hibernate timeouts.
- Adjust the plugged-in screen timeout if you want the display to stay on. Screen-off and sleep are separate settings.
- Adjust the plugged-in sleep timeout so the PC does not sleep during the intended playback period.
Menu availability can vary by device. The PC must remain awake for browser playback to continue; turning the screen off alone is not the same as putting the computer to sleep.
If the spare PC is a laptop
Check what happens when its lid closes. Many laptops sleep when the lid is shut, and Windows also provides settings for the lid and power button actions. Confirm the plugged-in lid action before leaving the laptop unattended. Keep it on a stable surface with its vents unobstructed.

Test the setup before leaving it
- Start the video or playlist and confirm the intended Loop control is active.
- Leave the PC plugged in and verify that it stays awake for the period you intend to use it.
- If the screen turns off but audio or playback continues, check the sleep setting separately rather than changing only the screen timeout.
This check helps catch a local power-setting problem; it does not remove YouTube’s own interruption prompts.

Why playback may not continue unattended all day
YouTube says its web player may show a “Video paused. Continue watching?” prompt before 60 minutes of uninterrupted watching when Autoplay is on. Someone may need to confirm to resume. Consequently, the built-in Loop setting and an awake PC do not guarantee uninterrupted unattended playback all day.

Check the Windows version on an internet-connected spare PC
If the computer still runs Windows 10, note that Microsoft ended support on October 14, 2025. Windows 10 may still run, but Microsoft no longer provides free Windows Update software updates, technical assistance, or security fixes for it. That support status is worth considering before keeping the PC connected and in regular use.

Keep the cartoons yours to use
Use cartoons you created or otherwise have the rights to stream. Before using any music, artwork, or other material in them, check that your permission covers the intended YouTube use.
