For a rotation of tracks, add them to a VLC Video playlist and enable Loop Playlist. Then connect OBS to a YouTube Live stream, configure the encoder for 2160p at 60fps, and check YouTube’s preview and stream health before going public.
Choose between looping one song and rotating a playlist

OBS Media Source supports common video formats including MP4, TS, MOV, FLV, MKV, AVI, GIF and WebM, and audio formats including MP3, AAC, OGG and WAV. The VLC Video source requires VLC to be installed before it appears in OBS. These source and setting details are documented in the OBS media sources guide.

Prepare the music and video files
Use files you have permission to broadcast. Check that each file plays correctly on your computer before adding it to OBS. For a playlist, decide the track order and add the intended video files; OBS documents playlist repetition, but it does not establish that audio transitions will be gapless. Rehearse the actual transitions before a long broadcast.
Add a looping source in OBS
Repeat a single song video
- Open OBS and select the scene that will carry the broadcast.
- In Sources, select + and choose Media Source.
- Name the source, then choose the local file you want to play.
- In the source properties, turn on Loop, then select OK.
- Confirm the video appears in the preview and that its audio is reaching the OBS mixer.
Loop a playlist of songs
- Install VLC if OBS does not show the VLC Video source type.
- In Sources, select + and choose VLC Video.
- Add the video files to its playlist in the desired order.
- Check Loop Playlist in the source properties and apply the settings.
- Play through the playlist in a rehearsal and inspect both the picture and audio at track changes.

Set up YouTube Live and connect OBS
- In YouTube Studio, create or schedule a live stream and open Live Control Room.
- In OBS, open Settings > Stream. Select YouTube if the service is available in the encoder’s service list; otherwise choose the custom server option and enter YouTube’s stream URL.
- Copy the stream key from YouTube Live Control Room into OBS. Treat the key like a password: do not publish or share it.
- Save the settings and start streaming from OBS when ready. Wait for the incoming preview in Live Control Room, check that picture and sound are correct, and then select Go live there.
YouTube’s encoder setup guidance describes connecting with the service selection or stream URL and key, then checking the preview before starting the public broadcast: Set up your encoder for live streaming. YouTube says streams shorter than 12 hours are automatically archived; do not assume that a longer broadcast will be archived in the same way.
Configure OBS for 4K/60fps
YouTube detects an encoder’s resolution and frame rate automatically by default. Set the OBS output and video resolution to 3840 × 2160 and frame rate to 60fps if your machine, encoder and connection can sustain them. YouTube says 2160p at 60fps does not offer the low-latency option and is optimized for normal latency.

Use the bitrate for the selected codec

These are YouTube’s ingestion recommendations, not a promise that a particular computer or internet plan can sustain the stream. Choose a codec supported by your hardware and streaming setup, then use the corresponding figures rather than treating codecs as interchangeable at the same bitrate. The current YouTube live encoder settings also recommend constant bitrate (CBR), a 2-second keyframe interval, and no more than 4 seconds between keyframes. YouTube recommends up to 60fps.

- Run an upload speed test and leave headroom for normal fluctuations; a result close to the chosen video bitrate leaves little margin for instability.
- Test with representative motion and audio, not just a static screen. 4K/60 encoding and upload must both be sustainable together.
- Watch YouTube’s stream health while broadcasting and respond to warnings rather than assuming that a configured bitrate equals a stable delivered stream.
YouTube’s encoder guidance recommends testing upload bitrate, and its live setup guidance recommends a representative pre-stream test and monitoring stream health: encoder settings and encoder setup.

Clear the rights to every song before going live
Marathi language or genre does not change the copyright rules. YouTube scans live streams for third-party content matches. It may replace the stream with a placeholder and warn you; if the content continues, the stream may be interrupted or terminated. A copyright strike can also terminate a live stream.
If you have a license for third-party music, YouTube says to ask the rights owner to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist. A stream may still be interrupted without that allowlisting, even where you hold a license or limit the broadcast territories. See YouTube’s guidance on live streams and copyrighted content.

YouTube’s livestream terms require the provider to have the necessary rights for worldwide exploitation on Google services, including music licensing rights from artists, record labels, publishers and other royalty participants: YouTube Live terms. Attribution, buying a physical copy, or having a personal music subscription does not itself establish permission to broadcast a song live. YouTube Creator Music is for long-form videos, not live streams; its catalog is not a live-clearance route. Cost and practical choice
OBS is listed by YouTube as no-charge open-source software, and this local-file workflow does not require a dedicated hardware purchase. The trade-off is that the computer running OBS and its internet connection must remain available during the broadcast. A hosted option is useful if you do not want that local dependency; compare its current terms directly before choosing a service.
