The steps depend on your device. This repeats a regular playlist; it does not restart a livestream after it ends. If by “live playlist” you mean keeping a YouTube channel live with pre-recorded videos, use a streaming setup that loops those videos instead.
Loop a playlist on your device
YouTube’s playlist repeat control plays the playlist again after its last video. Start playback from a video that belongs to the playlist, then use the playlist controls for your device. YouTube’s labels and icons may vary by app version.

Computer
- Open a video that is part of the playlist.
- Expand the playlist panel beside the video.
- Click Loop in the playlist box. The playlist will repeat when it reaches the end.
Android
- Start playing the playlist.
- Tap Loop in the playlist control box below the video.
- If you want to repeat only the current video rather than the whole playlist, tap the loop control again; YouTube distinguishes that mode from playlist repeat.
iPhone or iPad
- Play the playlist.
- Open the playlist controls beneath the video and tap the loop control to repeat the playlist.
TV or game console
- Select and play the playlist.
- Bring up the playback controls and choose Repeat until the status reads Repeat • Playlist.

Autoplay is not a substitute for playlist repeat: it can choose related content, its setting varies by device, and YouTube says inactivity time limits can stop it in some situations. See YouTube Help: Autoplay videos.
If you mean a livestream that should continue after its final video
A normal playlist playing in YouTube and a continuous livestream are different things. Playlist Loop repeats playback for someone watching the playlist; it does not keep a live broadcast running or restart an ended stream.

Hand viewers to another live event
YouTube Live Redirect can send viewers from a finished stream to a chosen Premiere or another live stream. YouTube says creators need more than 1,000 subscribers and no Community Guideline strikes to use redirects. Redirecting viewers to another channel also requires that channel’s permission. This is a handoff, not a replay of the same stream. Check YouTube Help: Live Redirect for current eligibility and setup details.

If the goal is to show uploaded videos continuously as a YouTube live stream, playlist repeat alone does not do that. You need a streaming method that sends the video to YouTube as a live broadcast. YouTube requires a verified channel with no live-stream restrictions in the past 90 days to go live. Its options include mobile, webcam, and encoder streaming; an encoder can combine inputs such as overlays, microphones, and cameras. For an encoder event, YouTube advises setting up ahead of time, previewing before going live, confirming that viewers can reach the event from the channel and watch pages and on mobile, monitoring audio and video, and stopping the encoder after the event has stopped on YouTube. Follow the current guidance in YouTube Help: encoder settings and troubleshooting.
Troubleshoot playlist repeat
- The next video is a recommendation instead of the first playlist video: Check that you turned on Loop/Repeat in the playlist controls. Autoplay may play a related video rather than repeat your fixed sequence.
- Only one video repeats: On Android, tap the loop control again to switch between repeating the playlist and repeating the current video.
- You cannot find the control: Confirm you started playback from a video in the playlist and expand the playlist panel or open the playback controls beneath the video. Labels and icons can differ by device and app version.
- The control says “Repeat • Playlist” on a TV or console: That is the playlist repeat state, not an indication that a livestream is running.
Do not confuse playlist looping with live DVR
DVR lets viewers pause, rewind, and resume a live stream; it does not repeat a playlist or restart a broadcast. YouTube says DVR may be limited or unavailable for streams longer than 12 hours. See YouTube Help: live stream DVR.

Can I repeat just one video instead of the playlist?
YouTube offers a separate single-video repeat mode on supported playlist controls; on Android, tap the loop control again to switch modes.
