On a phone or tablet, use the Asana app: Asana does not support logging in through a mobile browser.
Log in to Asana in a desktop browser
- Open app.asana.com or asana.com.
- Enter the email address associated with your Asana account.
- Continue with the sign-in method available for your account: email and password, Google, or your organization’s SAML/SSO sign-in. Your organization may require a particular method.
If your organization uses SAML, Asana says you can enter your work email and leave the password field empty to continue. Some organizations also provide a custom login portal using the company’s domain.

Log in with the Asana desktop app
- Open the Asana desktop app and enter your account email.
- When the app opens a browser, complete the credential verification there.
- Click “Open Asana” in the browser prompt to return to the desktop app.
Asana’s desktop app is available for Mac and Windows, not Linux. Its help page lists minimum operating-system versions, but those requirements can change; check the current page at Install the Asana desktop app before installing.
Log in on an Android phone or tablet
- Open the Asana app for Android.
- For Google single sign-on, choose “Enter with Google.” Otherwise, tap “Log In.”
- Follow the prompts for your account and, if applicable, your organization’s password or SAML sign-in.
Asana documents a specific SAML/Intune enrollment flow separately; its steps should not be assumed to apply to every organization’s SAML setup. See Get started with Asana for Android for the app’s current instructions.

Log in on an iPhone or iPad
- Open the Asana iOS app and choose the option to log in to an existing account.
- Select the method available to you: Google, email with a magic link or password, your organization’s SAML sign-in, or 1Password if installed.
- Complete the prompts from Asana or your organization’s identity provider.
Asana says Chrome on iPad does not support its full web experience and directs mobile and tablet users to the iOS app. See Get started with Asana for iOS.
Choose the right sign-in method
| Account or organization setup | What to do |
|---|---|
| Email and password | Enter the account email and password in the browser or app flow. |
| Google sign-in | Choose the Google sign-in option and use the Google account linked to Asana. |
| Organization SAML/SSO | Use your organization’s required sign-in flow and the email associated with its Asana access. Your company may direct you to a custom portal or identity provider. |
| Microsoft sign-in | Follow the organization’s configured sign-in flow where Microsoft-based SSO is offered or required. |
Available choices depend on your account and organization settings. Asana may redirect members to the required SSO method if they try another route; guest access can be handled differently. If a company-managed account will not authenticate, ask the organization administrator which login path to use.

Fix common Asana login problems
You forgot your password
On the login page, select “Forgot your password?” and follow the reset email instructions. If you originally signed up with Google, you may not have an Asana password yet; Asana says you can use password recovery to create one. See Create an Asana account.

Asana asks for an organization login
