First check whether your device is a standalone cable modem, such as an S33 or SB8200, or a Wi-Fi gateway, such as an SBG7600AC2, G34, or G36. That distinction determines which address and credentials you need.
Before you start: identify your ARRIS device
Find the model number on the label or front of the device. Use the matching address below:

| Device type | Common models | Login address |
|---|---|---|
| Standalone cable modem | S33, S34, SB6190, SB8200 | http://192.168.100.1 |
| Wi-Fi modem/router gateway | SBG10, SBG6950AC2, SBG7600AC2, G34, G36, G54 | http://192.168.0.1 |
These addresses are local device pages, not public ARRIS websites. An internet connection is not required to open them, but your phone or computer must be connected to the ARRIS device or its network.
How to log in to an ARRIS modem
- Connect your phone or computer to the ARRIS network. For a standalone modem connected to a separate router, use an Ethernet cable directly from the computer to the modem if possible.
- Open Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox, or another browser.
- Type the correct address into the address bar—not the search box—and press Enter:
http://192.168.100.1for many standalone modems, orhttp://192.168.0.1for many ARRIS gateways. - If the browser displays a privacy, security, or certificate warning, confirm that the address is the local ARRIS address you intended to open, then choose the option to continue to the Web Manager. Some ARRIS interfaces use a local self-signed certificate.
- Enter the username and password for your exact model.
- Click Apply on many older interfaces or Login on newer gateway interfaces.

- Multi‑Gig speed for today & tomorrow: DOCSIS 3.1 performance supports cable internet plans up to 2 Gbps, delivering ultra‑fast streaming, gaming, and downloads.
- Save on rental fees: Own your modem and avoid monthly equipment charges—check with your cable provider for plan compatibility.
- Compact, modern design: Space‑saving footprint with discrete LED indicators for power, upstream/downstream, and online status.
- Easy setup: Connect cable, power on, and activate with your cable provider. Then connect a Wi‑Fi router to the Ethernet port for home Wi-Fi coverage.
- Modem only: This cable modem requires a separate Wi-Fi router or mesh system for home Wi-Fi network.
Using SURFboard Central instead of a default password
If you set up a supported gateway with the SURFboard Central app, the app may contain the current Web Manager credentials.
- Open SURFboard Central.
- Tap the Menu bar.
- Choose Access Web Interface.
- Read the displayed username and password, or tap Copy.
- Tap Launch Web GUI to open the login page.
For the G34, G36, and SBG8300, the Web Manager may use the email address and password associated with your SURFboard Central account. On models such as the SBG10, SBG6950AC2, SBG7400AC2, SBG7580-AC, and SBG7600AC2, the username generally remains admin, while the app supplies the unique Web GUI password.
First-time login on newer ARRIS gateways
Some gateways do not accept a fixed factory password. Instead, the first visit starts a setup wizard.

On a G54, open http://192.168.0.1, enter a password in New Password, enter it again in Re-Enter New Password, type the displayed four-digit CAPTCHA, and finish the wizard. G34 and G36 devices similarly require completion of the Home Network Wizard during initial access.
What to do when the ARRIS login page will not open
Try the other local address
If you used 192.168.0.1 on an S33, SB6190, or SB8200, try 192.168.100.1. If you used 192.168.100.1 on a Wi-Fi gateway, try 192.168.0.1. A wrong address can cause a timeout, blank page, or another device’s login screen.
Disconnect the separate router
For a standalone modem, power down or disconnect the separate router temporarily, then connect a computer directly to the modem with Ethernet. This is the method ARRIS recommends for accessing several standalone models, including the S33, S34, SB6190, and SB8200.

- Harness the power of DOCSIS 3.0 technology to bond up to 16 downstream channels and 4 upstream channels. The ARRIS SURFboard SB6183 enhances your personal media experience, at fast broadband speed.
- Get speeds up to 686 Mbps download and 131 Mbps upload (speeds based on your Cable Internet service provider). Compatible with most U.S. cable providers.
- Features DOCSIS 3.0 technology to bond up to 16 downstream channels and 4 upstream channels.
- Supports IPv4 and IPv6 Internet standard.
- Requires Cable Internet Service. If you are unsure of your service, please contact your CABLE provider to confirm.
Do not keep guessing the password
Repeated failed attempts can trigger a temporary lockout. ARRIS documents waits of approximately 10 minutes for the S33/S34 and approximately five minutes for the SB8200. The G34 and G36 may also allow only one logged-in client at a time, so close the Web Manager on another phone or computer before trying again.
A status page appears instead of a login screen
This can be a firmware limitation rather than a fault. On older SB6190 firmware before 9.1.103AA65L, the interface may open directly to Status. On SB8200 firmware before 1.01.009.47, it may open to the Connection page without an admin login.
How to change the ARRIS admin password
Change the factory password after your first successful login. On many older interfaces:

The documented recovery method is a factory reset. This erases customized administration, Wi-Fi, and network settings. A gateway may need to be configured again, and your internet provider may need to reprovision it.
| Model | Typical reset instruction |
|---|---|
| S33 / S34 | Hold Reset for about 20 seconds |
| SB8200 | Hold Reset for about 10 seconds |
| SB6190 | Hold Reset for about 15 seconds or until the LEDs flash |
| SBG10 | Hold Reset for about 10 seconds |
Reset timing is model-specific, so confirm the instructions for your exact ARRIS model before pressing the recessed button. On SB8200 firmware 1.01.009.47 and later, a factory reset restores the admin password to the last eight digits of the serial number.

FAQ
What is the ARRIS modem login address?
Use http://192.168.100.1 for many standalone modems, including the S33, SB6190, and SB8200. Use http://192.168.0.1 for many ARRIS Wi-Fi gateways. Check the exact model because the address is not universal.
What is the default ARRIS username and password?
Many models use username admin. The password may be password, the last eight digits of the serial number, or a password created during setup. G34, G36, and some other gateways may use SURFboard Central credentials.
Why does ARRIS show an insecure connection warning?
The local Web Manager may use a self-signed certificate, which browsers cannot verify like a public website certificate. Confirm that you are opening the correct local address, then continue to the device interface.
Crashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?
Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteWindows Errors? Fix Them Before They Spread

Yes. A factory reset removes customized Wi-Fi, network, and admin settings. You may need to set up the gateway again, and your internet provider may need to reprovision the service.
The Bottom Line
Identify the exact ARRIS model first: standalone modems commonly use 192.168.100.1, while Wi-Fi gateways commonly use 192.168.0.1. Use the model-specific credentials or SURFboard Central, change the factory password after logging in, and reserve a factory reset for a forgotten password.
