While it is charging, the LEDs blink in sequence; the solid four-light display is the confirmation to unplug it.
Check the battery in the aircraft
- Leave the Intelligent Flight Battery installed and connect a USB-C charger to the Mini 2’s USB-C port.
- Watch the battery-level LEDs. They blink successively while charging and show the current charge level.
- When all four LEDs are on steadily, charging is complete. Disconnect the charger.

Check a battery in the Two-Way Charging Hub
Read the LED array corresponding to the battery in its hub port. Successive blinking means that battery is charging; solid LEDs mean it is full. The hub charges batteries one after another, so check the array for the battery you want to verify rather than assuming all batteries are charging at once. DJI says the hub can charge up to three Mini 2 batteries in sequence.

What the charging time can—and cannot—tell you
DJI gives an approximate charging time of 1 hour and 22 minutes for one battery using its 18 W charger. Actual time varies with the charger and conditions, so elapsed time is not proof of completion: use the LED pattern instead.

If charging is unusually slow or stops
Check the hub’s slow-charge pattern
For the Two-Way Charging Hub, DJI describes a very-slow-charge indication as LEDs blinking slowly for about 30 seconds, then blinking at two-second intervals. If you see this pattern, try another USB-C cable. See DJI’s hub indicator-pattern guide.
Check battery temperature
The battery’s specified charging temperature range is 5°C–40°C, and the Mini 2 manual gives 22°C–28°C as the ideal charging temperature. Charging stops if the cell temperature is outside the specified range and resumes automatically when it returns to range. If the battery is hot after a flight, let it cool before charging.

Charging is different from checking charge level
The LEDs can show the battery’s current level when checked, and they show progress during charging. To confirm that charging has finished, look for all four LEDs on steadily—not merely a battery-level reading with fewer lights illuminated.

Unplug the charger when all four battery-level LEDs are on. DJI recommends fully charging the battery at least once every three months to maintain battery health. For storage, DJI’s Mini 2 support page recommends approximately 72% charge rather than leaving the battery fully charged indefinitely.
