You can’t use StreamYard’s documented scheduling features to create a continuous, unattended 24/7 YouTube loop. A scheduled studio broadcast still needs someone to enter the studio and click Go Live. A scheduled pre-recorded broadcast can start automatically, but it ends when its video finishes. If you need an uploaded video to keep looping from the cloud, StreamNeo is an alternative to try first: it runs an always-on YouTube stream from uploaded videos, at any quality up to 4K 60fps for one flat price per slot, and offers a free first day.
What StreamYard scheduling can—and can’t—do
StreamYard supports scheduled studio broadcasts and scheduled pre-recorded broadcasts, but those are different workflows. Neither is documented as an unattended, continuous loop that restarts indefinitely.
| Workflow | Does it start by itself? | What it streams | How it ends |
|---|---|---|---|
| Scheduled studio broadcast | No. A host must enter the studio and click Go Live at the scheduled time. | The live studio show | The session ends when the broadcast is stopped or otherwise ends; scheduling alone does not make it continuous. |
| Scheduled pre-recorded broadcast | Yes. It starts at the selected time. | An uploaded video | It ends when the video finishes. StreamYard’s documented maximum video length is 2 hours on Core, 4 hours on Advanced, and 8 hours on Teams and Business. Plan details can change, so confirm the current limit for your account before scheduling. |
| Existing YouTube stream connected by RTMP | No. On paid plans, StreamYard says this route still requires entering the studio and clicking Go Live; it cannot schedule the live. | An existing YouTube stream connected to StreamYard | It is not documented as a hands-off loop or automatic restart workflow. |
StreamYard says paid plans do not have a StreamYard-side limit on YouTube streaming hours. That is not the same as an automatic 24/7 loop: the pre-recorded session still ends with its source video, and the studio workflow still needs a host to start it.
How to schedule a finite pre-recorded broadcast
Use this when you want a video to begin at a particular time without a host starting the broadcast live. It is an automatic, finite replay—not a way to keep one video running all day.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
- Prepare the video and check its duration against the maximum for your StreamYard plan: 2 hours on Core, 4 hours on Advanced, or 8 hours on Teams and Business, as documented by StreamYard in 2026.
- In StreamYard, create a broadcast and choose the Pre-recorded video source. Select YouTube as the destination and connect the channel if it is not already connected.
- Choose the start time and schedule the broadcast. Confirm the selected video and destination before the event.
- Monitor the event as appropriate. The livestream starts at the selected time and ends when the video finishes; the documented workflow does not say it will loop or restart.
If the planned video is longer than your plan allows, this workflow does not provide a continuous workaround. Choose a shorter video or another approach that supports the duration and automation you need.
How to schedule a live studio show
Choose a studio broadcast when a person will present or operate a live show. Scheduling creates the YouTube event, but it does not start the show for you.

- Create or schedule the broadcast in StreamYard and select the connected YouTube channel.
- At showtime, have the host enter the StreamYard studio.
- Check the studio and destination, then click Go Live. Without that manual action, the scheduled studio broadcast does not begin as a live show.
StreamYard also documents connecting an existing YouTube stream through RTMP on paid plans. That option does not change the start requirement: it cannot schedule the live and still requires a person to enter the studio and click Go Live.
Connection and archive planning
Improve the connection without treating it as an uptime guarantee
For a computer-based StreamYard broadcast, StreamYard recommends Ethernet when possible and at least 5 Mbps upload and download. Wi-Fi may work, but StreamYard says it can cause issues. A wired connection can reduce one source of instability; it cannot make a scheduled studio show start unattended or prevent every interruption.

Separate the broadcast from its recordings
StreamYard’s help guidance says YouTube records only the last 12 hours of a stream. StreamYard’s own recording limits are separate from the broadcast duration and YouTube’s archive behavior. Before planning a long session around a saved replay, check the current recording and archive behavior for both services. Do not assume a 24-hour broadcast will be available as one complete recording.
Check YouTube eligibility, concurrency, rights, and monetization
Live-stream eligibility and active-stream limits
YouTube Help says a channel must be verified and must not have had live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days to live stream. Its guidance lists limits of 10 active streams per channel and 3 active streams per stream key. These are YouTube platform rules, not StreamYard automation features, and YouTube may update them; verify the current Help guidance before launching multiple streams.

Copyright and reused or repetitive material
Make sure you have the rights needed for every video, song, image, and other element in the stream. YouTube’s monetization guidance says public long-form videos, including archived livestreams, may count toward qualified watch hours; livestreams that are not archived do not. Its policy update dated July 15, 2025 renamed “repetitious content” as “inauthentic content” to clarify that repetitive or mass-produced material is covered. Neither a long broadcast nor repeated content guarantees monetization or qualified watch hours. Use content that is original and valuable to viewers, and review YouTube’s current copyright and monetization policies for your channel.

For a human-hosted event, schedule the studio broadcast and have a host click Go Live. For an unattended replay that can end after one video, schedule the pre-recorded source and keep it within your plan’s duration limit. If your actual requirement is an uploaded video that loops continuously without a computer or host staying online, StreamYard’s documented workflows do not establish that capability.

Or let it run in the cloud
StreamNeo is a separate cloud service for keeping a YouTube channel live 24/7 from uploaded videos; it does not stream from a camera or to other platforms. The setup is: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. StreamNeo loops the video from the cloud, so nothing has to stay on at home. Every slot streams the upload as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one price per slot, with automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly service is $9.99 per month. UPI and cards are available in India; card checkout is available worldwide. See StreamNeo, or start your free first day.
