Open Firefox and visit the SingleFile listing on Mozilla Add-ons. Use Firefox’s install control to add the extension.

Wait for Firefox to finish adding it. If Firefox asks you to confirm the installation, review the prompt and approve it to proceed.

Open a webpage you want to save and wait until it has fully loaded.

Click the SingleFile toolbar button to capture the page. SingleFile saves the resulting file in Firefox’s configured download folder by default.

SingleFile captures a webpage into a file for later viewing, but an offline copy should not be assumed to reproduce every interactive feature exactly. Some sites rely on live services or browser behavior that a saved file cannot preserve. SingleFileZ’s older FAQ describes its .zip.html naming convention and viewing legacy saved files in Firefox and Safari, while also noting browser-specific local-file restrictions. The toolbar button is missing. Check Firefox’s extensions or add-ons controls and ensure SingleFile was added and enabled. The project documentation directs Firefox users to its Add-ons listing; Mozilla also documents add-on installation through its site or a developer site. Mozilla Support

The saved file is not where expected. Check Firefox’s configured download folder; that is the documented default destination.

The capture is incomplete. Wait for the page to finish loading before clicking the toolbar button, as the project instructs. Dynamic or interactive content may still not work identically in an offline copy.

You need a manual installation route. The SingleFile README documents downloading a project ZIP and Mozilla’s temporary-installation instructions. Mozilla Support also describes installing a saved XPI through the Add-ons Manager gear menu. These are alternatives to the normal Add-ons route, not Ubuntu-specific package instructions.
