You do not need a separate India-specific installation process according to the official instructions available; country-specific availability is not established, so follow any message Chrome or the Store displays if installation is blocked.
Install Save Page WE from the Chrome Web Store
- Open Google Chrome on your Windows computer in a normal browser window. Do not use Incognito or guest mode; Chrome says extensions cannot be added in either mode.
- Go to the official Chrome Web Store listing. Confirm that the extension is named Save Page WE and offered by DW-dev.
- Select Add to Chrome. Depending on the Store context, the button may instead appear as Add to Desktop.
- Review the permissions Chrome presents. If you trust the extension and want to continue, select Add extension. Google advises approving only extensions you trust; permissions can include access to website data.
- After installation, look for the extension icon to the right of Chrome’s address bar. To keep it visible, open Chrome’s Extensions menu and pin Save Page WE to the toolbar.
Save a page after installing
Load the page you want to keep, then select the Save Page WE toolbar button. The listing also gives Alt+A as a keyboard shortcut. Save Page WE describes its default output as the currently displayed web page saved to a single HTML file that can be opened in a browser.

The listing also documents saving selected tabs or a list of URLs, and using the right-click context menu. These are capabilities described by the Store listing, not independently tested results.

If Chrome will not install the extension
Incognito or guest mode
Switch to a normal Chrome profile and reopen the Store listing. Chrome Help states that extensions cannot be added while browsing in Incognito mode or as a guest.

Work- or school-managed computer
An organization may block some extensions. If the listing or install control is blocked on a managed device, contact the organization’s Chrome administrator; changing browser settings may not override its policy.
Permission confirmation
Read Chrome’s permission prompt before approving. Google explains that extension permissions may allow access to website data. You can inspect or adjust an extension’s site access in Chrome’s extension controls; decline installation if the requested access is not acceptable to you.

You have a CRX file from another website
Use the official Chrome Web Store listing instead of installing a downloaded CRX file. Chrome’s developer documentation says Windows installations from a local CRX path are not allowed under the documented policy.
The Store listing does not load or install in India
The official sources cited here do not establish availability for every Indian account or device, or document a special India-only flow. Use the error or availability message shown by Chrome or the Store. Do not assume that a third-party download is equivalent to the official listing.
