On a compatible Android TV, open the TV’s home screen, choose Search, search for “Apple TV,” and install the app shown in the results. Open it from the Apps area and sign in with your Apple Account if prompted. Whether the app appears can depend on your TV model, software and country settings, so check the TV’s own app search and current Google Play listing in Kenya.
Install Apple TV from your Android TV
- Connect the TV to the internet and go to its home screen.
- Select Search and search for “Apple TV.” Apple’s [setup instructions] describe this home-screen search method for Android TV.
- Select the Apple TV app in the results and follow the on-screen instructions to download and install it.
- Open Apple TV from the Apps area. If your TV offers the option, you can add it to Favorites for easier access.
- Sign in with your Apple Account if prompted. Use the account associated with any Apple TV subscription or eligible purchases you want to access.
Apple also documents installing the app through Google Play on Android devices: search for “Apple TV,” select Apple’s app, tap Install, open it, then sign in if prompted. On a television, use the TV’s built-in home-screen search first.

Check availability in Kenya
Apple says the Apple TV app and subscription availability in Google Play can vary by country or region. Its [Kenya subscription page] carries that qualification, and Apple’s [setup guidance] says app availability can vary by country. Search from the TV itself and check the current Google Play listing for that device and its software. The available information does not establish that the app is listed for every Android TV model in Kenya.
Android TV does not support purchases inside the Apple TV app. If you need a subscription or want to make a purchase, complete it on another supported device where available, then sign in on the TV with the same Apple Account. Content and features can vary by region and device, so the app’s presence does not guarantee that every title or feature is available in Kenya.

If Apple TV does not appear in search
- Check the exact platform. Confirm that the television is running Android TV, rather than a different smart-TV operating system.
- Check compatibility and software. Make sure the TV’s software is current, then consult Apple’s [device compatibility guidance] and the current store listing. Apple recommends checking compatibility when the app is missing.
- Check the listing on the TV. Availability can differ by region and device; a listing for another Android device does not establish availability for your television.
- Consider another supported device only if needed. If the TV is incompatible or the app is unavailable for it, check Apple’s current compatibility list for a separate streaming device before buying one. No specific extra device is established as necessary for Kenya.
Use Apple’s documented store installation route rather than relying on an unofficial app package. Because the current Kenya listing and supported Android TV models or software versions are not established universally, confirm those details for your own TV before troubleshooting further or purchasing hardware.
