To add a LarawellUI widget, the creator’s published workflow is to install its CLI as a Composer development dependency, run the Artisan add command for the widget, and rebuild frontend assets. LarawellUI is presented as a copy-and-own collection of Blade and Tailwind CSS v4 components, not a conventional runtime UI dependency. The project appears newly launched, so confirm its current package availability, requirements, and component syntax before relying on it.
What LarawellUI is—and what is known about it
Project creator Krishnaprasad R (RK) describes LarawellUI as 34 Blade and Tailwind CSS v4 widgets for server-rendered Laravel interfaces, with small vanilla JavaScript files for interactive behavior. Examples named in the launch material include datepicker, date-range and time pickers, select, phone input, OTP input, file upload, table, modal, toast, tabs, stepper, and tooltips. The Reddit launch post says roughly twenty more widgets are included, but the posts do not give a complete authoritative inventory. Creator’s launch article and matching Reddit launch post are the launch sources; these links are not a substitute for current package documentation.

The stated distribution model is copy-and-own: a development CLI copies selected widget source into your application, where you can edit it. The creator says the copied components do not need a runtime connection to a registry. The package behavior has not been independently verified here, and no official source repository, package registry record, release number, or independent technical review was identified. The creator summarizes the rationale this way: “A UI widget is not a hashing library. You will need to change it.”
Check the stated requirements before installing
The launch article lists PHP 8.3 or newer, Laravel 12 or 13, and Tailwind CSS 4. Those are creator-stated launch requirements, not independently verified compatibility guarantees. Before adding the package, check current package metadata and project documentation for supported versions and installation instructions; availability and requirements may have changed since launch.
#1 Best Overall
The creator says Alpine.js and Livewire are not required. The launch material also reports testing with Livewire 3 and 4, including wire:model, DOM morphing, and wire:navigate. Keyboard support, ARIA roles and states, right-to-left layouts, locale-formatted dates and numbers, and Content Security Policy behavior are likewise creator-reported claims, not independently established conformance or integration results.
Install LarawellUI and add a widget
From the root of a Laravel project, the creator publishes this sequence:
composer require --dev larawellui/larawelluiadds the CLI package as a development dependency.php artisan larawell:add datepickerasks its Artisan command to add the datepicker widget and, according to the creator, copy that component and its dependencies into the application.npm run buildrebuilds the project’s frontend assets.
These are the published commands; they have not been independently run or verified. To request another widget, replace datepicker with a name supported by the project’s current registry. Because the launch posts do not provide a complete list or document all CLI options, check current project documentation or available command help if the command or widget name is not recognized.

Use the installed widget in a Blade view
The launch material names widgets and explains how to add them, but does not show the datepicker’s Blade tag or its supported properties. Do not assume a tag name or attribute syntax: inspect the copied view or component source and the project’s current component reference, then use the documented interface in your Blade template.
Rank #3
For general framework context, Laravel renders Blade components using component tags and documents namespaced component syntax such as package-name::. That convention explains Laravel’s component system; it does not establish which tag LarawellUI uses. See Laravel’s Blade component documentation.
Understand the copy-and-own update trade-off
Copied source is editable in your application, but local changes can complicate adopting upstream fixes. The creator says LarawellUI’s CLI records the state of files it writes in a lock file: during updates, untouched files are replaced, edited files are skipped and listed, and larawell:diff displays upstream changes. This describes the creator’s claimed safeguard; the launch posts do not establish the exact update command, lock-file format, conflict behavior, or recovery procedure.
Rank #4
Before updating, inspect current command help and documentation. Treat skipped-file reporting as a prompt to review differences and decide manually whether to merge changes; do not assume edited files receive upstream updates automatically.

The creator also mentions an optional MCP server started with php artisan larawell:mcp, as well as an /llms.txt file and JSON registry endpoints. Those endpoints and features were not independently inspected, and the launch posts do not establish their current availability or usage details. They are not required steps in the published widget installation sequence.
