Check compatibility before changing game files
The captured listing for Nuevo Paraiso – The Forgotten Frontier names its tools but does not state a confirmed RDR2 game build or launcher version. Do not assume that it works with a particular update simply because the game starts or because the mod is downloadable. - Lenny’s Mod Loader (LML): listed as mandatory for the mod.
- Script Hook RDR2: listed as mandatory for the mod’s ASI files.

How to install Nuevo Paraiso – The Forgotten Frontier
Use the current download’s own installation directions for the exact file placement. A general RDR2 modding guide advises backing up the game folder first and says that mod-specific instructions take precedence over general guidance. LML and Script Hook are installed in connection with the RDR2 game directory, but do not guess at folder names or overwrite behavior if the mod’s current instructions specify something different.
- Check the game and mod listings. Confirm you are using the PC version, review the mod’s current Nexus page, note its stated requirements, and read any recent author updates or release discussion for compatibility information.
- Back up your game folder. Follow the general precaution in the RDR2 mod installation guide and make a copy before adding or replacing files, so you can restore the original setup if something goes wrong.
- Install the required tools. Install Lenny’s Mod Loader and Script Hook RDR2 according to their own current documentation. The featured mod listing marks both as required. Add the listed ScriptHookRDR2 V2 alternative only if its current instructions and your setup call for it.
- Install the region mod using its bundled directions. Extract or place the downloaded files exactly where the current mod instructions specify. Avoid substituting the minimap mod’s placement instructions for this one; the projects have different stated purposes and may package files differently.
- Launch in single-player and check for issues. Script Hook does not work in multiplayer; the general guide says launching multiplayer with it will force-close the game. If you only want Mexico on the minimap
Install Mexico on Minimap only if its stated map-display function is what you want. Its Nexus listing names ScriptHookRDR2 and Lenny’s Mod Loader as requirements and instructs users to put its lml folder in the game directory. Troubleshooting and safe removal
- The game crashes at startup: confirm that the required tools are installed as instructed, recheck the featured mod’s current file-placement directions, and temporarily remove recently added mods to isolate a conflict.
