To use AdGuard on several devices, install the app from AdGuard’s official instructions for each platform, then sign in to the AdGuard account or enter the activation code for a website-purchased license. AdGuard lists Personal licenses for up to 3 devices and Family licenses for up to 9, across Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS. The key exception is an iOS app subscription bought through Apple’s App Store: it is limited to iOS and iPadOS devices using the same Apple Account.
Choose the right license for your devices
AdGuard’s current license page describes Personal and Family licenses as usable across Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS, regardless of the mix of operating systems. The published device capacities are plan limits, not estimates of typical usage. See AdGuard’s license page for the current terms.

Check where you bought the license
License purchased from AdGuard’s website
Check the purchase email and the AdGuard account associated with that email for the activation code and device list. AdGuard’s EULA says an account is automatically created for the purchase email. The website license is the option AdGuard describes as cross-platform; activate it by signing in or following the code instructions supplied with the purchase.

Subscription purchased through Apple’s App Store
For an App Store subscription to AdGuard for iOS or AdGuard Pro, use AdGuard → Settings → License → Restore purchase. The subscription is associated with the same Apple Account on iOS/iPadOS devices; do not assume it will activate AdGuard on Windows, macOS, or Android. AdGuard also says an existing AdGuard license can be used in AdGuard for iOS by signing in under Settings → License or entering its activation code, which is a separate route from restoring an Apple subscription.
Install AdGuard on each device
- Open AdGuard’s official instructions for the device’s platform. Use the platform-specific installation prompts for Windows or Mac, and follow AdGuard’s current instructions for the mobile platform.
- Install the app, then activate it using the method for your purchase channel. For a website license, sign in to the associated AdGuard account or use the activation code. For an Apple App Store subscription, restore the purchase in the iOS app.
- Repeat on each covered device. Keep the number of active devices within the capacity of the license, and use the same account or license details for the website-purchased license.
AdGuard says its Android app is available through AppGallery, Mi Store, and Samsung Galaxy Store, and cannot be published on Google Play. If installing manually, follow the vendor’s official installation and upgrade page, which includes the APK instructions. AdGuard cautions that on some Samsung devices running One UI 6 (Android 14) or newer, Auto Blocker may prevent APK installation. Its directions are to open Settings → Security and privacy → Auto Blocker, disable the setting for installation, and turn it back on afterward if desired. These are AdGuard’s instructions and may change as Android and Samsung software are updated.

Before activating a replacement, remove the old or reinstalled device from the license’s device list in the AdGuard account. AdGuard’s new-device activation instructions specify this sequence:

- Sign in to your AdGuard account and open the AdGuard Ad Blocker tab.
- Under Devices, find and select the old device or the device associated with the OS reinstall.
- Click Remove to free that activation.
- Install AdGuard on the replacement and activate it with the license.
The EULA of AdGuard Software Limited, dated April 23, 2026, states: “You can transfer the purchased license to another Computer.”
What to do when you reach the device limit
If the license has no free activations, first check the device list for an old, unused, or reinstalled device and remove it if appropriate. If you need to cover more devices than the current license permits, AdGuard’s device-limit support page explains unbinding an unused device or upgrading Personal to Family. The published capacities are up to 3 devices for Personal and up to 9 for Family.
Upgrade an annual license to lifetime
AdGuard offers a lifetime option and says an existing one-year license can be upgraded from the account. Its purchase and upgrade instructions describe choosing Upgrade to Lifetime in the account. The Extend or upgrade page also provides a Lifetime choice after applying an activation code. Follow the option shown for your license and account; the precise available choices depend on the license being upgraded.
AdGuard’s EULA dated April 23, 2026 says a purchased license can be upgraded to increase the number of computers on which it can be used or to extend the term up to lifetime.

- Need up to 3 devices? Check whether Personal covers your device mix.
- Need up to 9? Consider Family; contact AdGuard sales if you need more than 9.
- Want to cover different operating systems? Use a website license rather than assuming an Apple App Store subscription is cross-platform.
